We have already seen a host of roster changes in the Chinese Dota 2 scene, however other regions are also getting in on the act, with Virtus.pro having announced that Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev has rejoined the team. There have been a host of rumours regarding other teams too, including Na’Vi and VP.Prodigy, however Virtus Pro are the first to confirm such news.

RAMZES666 will replace former stand-in Igor “iLTW” Filatov at position one, with the former having spent three years at Virtus.pro between 2016-2019. The 21-year-old spent just over a year at Evil Geniuses, however his game time was limited due to the Covid-19 pandemic. His return to Virtus.pro will likely see him team up with Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko, Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok, Bakyt “Zayac” Emilzhanov and Alexey “Solo” Berezin.

Will VP.Prodigy Take Over from Virtus.pro?

The VP.Prodigy roster also looks set for changes, with former Na’Vi favourite Illias “illias” Ganeev” and Gambit’s mid laner Danil “gpk” Skutin likely to join their ranks. There are major rumours that the VP.Prodigy roster would likely become VP’s main roster should such moves occur, which would come as a blow to current captain Alexey “Solo” Berezin. Such changes are unlikely to be made public in the near future however, with an announcement potentially taking place at any time up until early 2021.

VP.Prodigy has been almost on par with their compatriots for a while now, meaning that it would be no surprise if the organization decided to make their roster their main one. With Rostislav “fn” Lozovoi having reportedy left the team after acting as a stand-in for half a year, the VP.Prodigy roster could well involve epileptick1d, gpk, DM, Save and illias. VP Manager Dmitriy “Nukem” Shishkov recently played down such reports, stating that they would “continue to support young talents”, however this has done little to stop the rumours.

What Other Changes Can We Expect?

Meanwhile, Na’Vi are believed to be interested in acquiring the services of HallRaisers Captain Alexander “Nix” Levin, however they appear to be facing an uphill battle in completing such a deal. As a result, they could turn their attention to EXTREMEMUM’s Vasily “AfterLife” Shishkin, with the offlaner potentially being joined by coach Anatoly “boo1k” Ivanov.

The likes of Gambit and Team Spirit are also looking to make moves, however with the latter having not appeared in competitive action since May, all of their players are currently playing for others, either as stand-ins or inactive. We are likely to see further details come out ahead of the ESL One Germany 2020 on October 5, where VP, Na’Vi and Hellraisers will all be taking part.
