Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev has announced that he is parting ways with the Darksiders lineup after the Eastern European team failed to qualify for the Dota 2 Lima Major 2023. This means the player is now a free agent heading into Dota Pro Circuit Spring, and Team Secret is rumored to be his next destination.

RAMZES666 leaves Darksiders

In a voice message on his Telegram page, the 23-year-old Russian spoke about Darksiders’ results during the DPC Winter Tour. The player stressed that he felt the team was strong but that the situation surrounding Darksiders degraded throughout the first season in DPC.

RAMZES said:

“We started well, but ended up looking like shit. All because we weren’t solving the problems that were appearing within the team. On the contrary, everything was getting worse every day. Even those two victories might not have happened. We could have been totally relegated from Division I, but we could have also beaten any of the strongest teams in the region. It was very random. It all depended on the mood and other things.”

About Darksiders

Darksiders was led by RAMZES and Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev and spectacularly started the season with two resounding victories. However, they then failed to close out any of the contested series. They finished with a 2-5 record on the overall leaderboard and a 7-11 record in games, including wins over BetBoom and Team Spirit.

While Darksiders avoided relegation to DPC Division II in the spring division, there are still many problems in the organization. In addition, they must solve the problem regarding the departure of RAMZES.

On the other hand, RAMZES also stated that he wanted to give the squad a chance over other offers he had received from other teams in the CIS region. This after many comments and questions from fans and analysts. However, now that he is out of the team, the player plans to take a short break while the DPC Winter Tour ends before deciding his future.

Team Secret is the destination of choice for RAMZES

RAMZES may have already decided his future, as according to solid rumors on social networks, the player is about to sign with Team Secret.

On the other hand, Team Secret had a much worse start to DPC 2023 than Darksiders. The runner-up of The International was relegated to DPC Division II after finishing with a 1-6 record.

Now it looks like Puppey and Secret are ready to turn things around, with rumors of changes to the squad.

RAMZES has been rumored to be the ideal replacement for Remco “Crystallis” Arets at Team Secret for several weeks. But, popular Dota 2 commentator Troels Lyngholt “syndereN” Nielsen has another player on Team Secret’s radar, Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak.

According to these rumors, RAMZES will join Secret as a carrier. While Malr1ne will take BOOM’s spot in the middle lane.
