TrainHard disbands just before a game. TrainHard officially exists no more. The disbandment took place just hours before the Rainbow Six Siege team’s match against Natus Vincere in the EUL. TrainHard had finished Phase 1 in eighth place and won the 6 Open Cup in France.

What led to this situation?

Despite this, the organization has suddenly announced that they will be disbanding and ending all ventures. “After many years in esports and unforgettable moments, it is time for us to let go,” the organization tweeted in a statement. The reason are primarily economic factors.

This leaves the players without an organization and possibly without an EU license. Usually, when an organization leaves the team without selling it to a new organization, the line-up loses its place and a new organization takes it over in the next phase.

However, something like this has never happened during an ongoing phase and on such short notice. Apparently the players also found out about the news just before the game against Na’Vi. TrainHard originally acquired the official license to participate in the EUL from Tempra, which also had to leave the scene due to poor economic conditions.

With that spot, it kept original players Alexandre “BlaZ” Thomas and Noé “NoerA” Hassen and picked up Christophe “Chaoxys” Soares and Dylan “Dirza” Brigitte from the old Tempra lineup. Since then, Valentin “Voy” Cheron has also joined, restoring Tempra’s core lineup from 2020.

What does this exactly mean?

In the Rainbow Six Siege Circuit Global Rulebook, section 3.1.1 titled “License Requirements” states, “All teams participating in the Rainbow Six Circuit must be represented by a legal entity (organisation, company…) to obtain a license.”

Without a legal entity to represent them, the former TrainHard line-up would actually not be allowed to compete, according to the rules.

The ex-TrainHard line-up was allowed to play their game against Na’Vi without the organization behind them though. They lost against Na’Vi 7-2. Their next game is in the 6 French League on Wednesday against Vitality. However, this tournament also calls for an organization.

Further details concerning TrainHards Situation are yet unknown.
