PUBG Mobile x G-DRAGON Collab: Release Date & Rewards

fragster James Steward 4. September 2025

KRAFTON has announced a collaboration between its battle royale titles PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and PUBG Mobile and G-DRAGON of BIGBANG. This marks the first crossover with a music artist for both versions of PUBG, so this month of September 2025 is significant for both gaming and K-pop fans.

Rollout Schedule and What to Expect

Rollout will be staged on PC, console, and mobile. It will roll out starting with PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS on PC on September 10, console on September 18, and PUBG Mobile on September 19. This rollout will provide staggered content drops – to players on each platform.

There has not been a definitive announcement of features yet, but there are already leaks and teasers that hint at a few things:

  • Exclusive items – G-DRAGON skins, weapon wraps, lobby themes, and perhaps emotes or music associated with him.
  • Special missions and events – Limited time tasks with rewards for completing them.
  • Login rewards and boosts – Cosmetics and boosts for players that log in first and complete the events.

The initial teaser was released on August 31 at G-DRAGON’s concert in Las Vegas. The clip was like an advertisement for PUBG’s G-DRAGON launch and when fans first saw it after the show they erupted on social media. There is a plan for an “offline” celebration event in Seongsu, Seoul and KRAFTON teased that there would also be more global fan events too.

G-DRAGON (real name: Kwon Ji-yong) is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter and producer. He is the leader of BIGBANG, one of the most popular K-pop groups. As a solo act, he also has put out several albums, and he is known for his influence in the music business, fashion and culture. He constantly blends genres in his work, G-DRAGON can be seen as one of the first K-pop idols to really innovate outside of the standard model of the K-pop industry.

Things to watch in coming weeks:

  • Collaborative trailer – More about the collaboration will be available soon on PUBG’s official channels.
  • Content reveal – Item previews, rewards list, and missions announced closer to launch.
  • Community and live events – Especially the offline event in Seoul.
  • Fan reactions – Forums, Reddit, and social media posts.

Whether you’re a gamer, a VIP (a BIGBANG fan), or both, September is where you can engage in battlegrounds a la G-DRAGON style.
