PUBG Mobile 3.9 Update: Major Changes and Features
PUBG Mobile X Transformers Crossover
The highlight for this version is easily the new Transformers crossover mode. But it’s not only some character skins or UI tweaks. The Erangel map itself has a fresh design now, with major areas influenced by the war between Autobots and Decepticons.
Inside this mode, players are able to use signal beacons to summon unique mechanical units:
- A big truck vehicle that feels similar to Optimus Prime
- A tank using electromagnetic energy looks like it’s based on Megatron
These machines don’t just move you around—they become an important part of how fights play out. It’s a new type of flow for matches.
New Area: Neon Outpost
A completely new point of interest named Neon Outpost is also included in the update. It’s divided into three main places:
- Boxing Ring – Loot box opens after a countdown ends
- Black Market – Includes vendor NPCs and a special food stand offering Interstellar Burger
- Energy Hub – Full of moving robot units, some usable for travel or interactions
There’s also a special zone inside called Astro Den, where only melee combat is allowed. If someone gets eliminated, they come back above the area instead of being out. Another similar Astro Den appears elsewhere on the map, where the final team left wins a reward after the timer runs out.
Cosmic Hoverboard
A new vehicle for movement comes in the form of the Cosmic Hoverboard. It’s built mainly for travel, and can’t be used for fighting while riding it.
By collecting special cores, the hoverboard can be upgraded and gain abilities:
- Double Jump for moving upwards
- Dash Move to get in or out fast
- Improved Steering for better handling
These skills make the hoverboard more strategic, not just for moving but also for surviving tense situations.
The PUBG Mobile 3.9 update is shaping up to be one of the most significant seasonal changes in recent months, blending sci-fi elements with core gameplay. With the release set for July 8, players can start preparing for a refreshed and action-packed experience.
