PUBG Mobile’s latest 3.9 beta update is now available to download for Android devices. iOS access is expected to arrive soon as more invites are issued. Usually, only players who have already signed up for the beta can join the test server, since the available slots are quite limited. Through this version, players get an early look at upcoming features, a themed mode, fresh mechanics, and additions like new vehicles and a transformed map.
How to Download PUBG Mobile 3.9 Beta
Those who want to try the update early will need to visit PUBG Mobile’s official beta page and complete the registration. Once that is done, Android users can download either 32-bit or 64-bit versions depending on their device. As for iOS, users with TestFlight invitations should get access soon, though a new batch of invites will be distributed in the next week.
Here are the steps:
- Go to the PUBG Mobile beta site.
- Sign up for access.
- Download and install the beta client for your device.
- Start the game and explore the features.
- Share feedback with the devs.
Keep in mind, beta is only open to a few players. So, not everyone will get in, but those who do will have a chance to explore what’s coming and assist with feedback.
PUBG Mobile X Transformers Theme Mode

What’s making the biggest buzz in the PUBG Mobile 3.9 update is the special Transformers-themed mode. It’s more than just visuals or cosmetic skins this time. The map of Erangel will look completely different, styled around the epic conflict between Autobots and Decepticons. Players can transform into heavy vehicles like tanks, futuristic machines, or trucks, resembling the abilities of characters like Optimus Prime.

Special beacons can be used to call in giant mechanical vehicles, like a massive truck (Optimus Prime) or electromagnetic tank (Megatron), which can give you an advantage in combat.
New POI And Locations

A newly added location called Neon Outpost offers players a different vibe altogether, filled with neon glow and sci-fi elements. The area is broken into three major parts:
- Boxing Ring: This spot contains a loot crate that unlocks after a countdown ends.
- Black Market: Home to vendors, a burger stand, and repair facilities, all in a futuristic design. The burger joint lets players collect a unique item called the Interstellar Burger.
- Energy Hub: Small robotic units roam here and can be interacted with. You can even ride on top of them.
Inside the outpost, players will find the Astro Den. It is a melee-only arena where only weapons found within can be used. Players can access it through portals inside the outpost. Even if you’re eliminated there, it doesn’t cost you a respawn — you get placed back above the outpost instantly.
There’s also a similar Astro Den variant on the map’s outskirts, keeping the same melee rules and offering rewards to the last team remaining when the countdown ends.
Hoverboard

Among the new items is the Cosmic Hoverboard, which allows players to zip across areas quickly. But keep in mind, you can’t shoot weapons while riding it. It can be upgraded by collecting hoverboard cores across the map. Once upgraded, it unlocks cool new abilities:
- Double Jump
- Dash Move
- Better Hovering Control
This opens up new movement options and can help players move around enemy squads or escape danger.
More Than Just Skins in the Crossover
While PUBG Mobile has done several IP tie-ins in the past, like with Godzilla, Jujutsu Kaisen, or Spider-Man, this Transformers collab might offer something more elaborate. Considering the way previous collabs worked, there will be limited-time modes involving robotic transformations or special weapons inspired by the Transformers universe. New missions, unique gadgets, or energy-based equipment from ‘Cybertron’ will be part of this themed experience.
This beta is the beginning phase for PUBG Mobile’s 3.9 version, and Level Infinite is expected to keep adjusting the content based on how players react. While the Mecha Fusion themed mode in the 3.2 update had balancing issues, we hope the studio has used the feedback from there to make the Transformers collab one of the most engaging PUBG Mobile updates we’ve seen in recent months.
