Prime Video Debuts Trailer for “Esports World Cup: Level Up”

June 3, 2025 – Prime Video has released the official trailer for Esports World Cup: Level Up, a five-part documentary series offering an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at one of the most ambitious competitive gaming events in history. Directed by Emmy Award-winner R.J. Cutler (Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry, The September Issue), the series kicks off on Friday, June 6, with new episodes dropping weekly through July 4.

“Level Up” follows the intense journeys of elite players and teams from around the world as they compete in the inaugural Esports World Cup (EWC), which took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Featuring over 1,500 top-tier players from 100 nations and a staggering $60 million prize pool, the series spotlights the human drama, strategic depth, and high-stakes intensity that define modern esports.

The first episode centers on Soka, a rising star in Call of Duty: Warzone, as he fights to become the first-ever EWC champion. With exclusive access to players, coaches, and behind-the-scenes moments, Level Up captures the personal stories and cultural significance of a global movement that continues to redefine sport and entertainment.

The docuseries arrives just in time to build anticipation for the Esports World Cup 2025, set to return to Riyadh from July 7 to August 24. This year’s competition promises to be even larger, once again bringing together the global gaming and esports community to crown the next EWC champion.
