As a part of the Gaming For Love charity event, popular musician Post Malone is streaming Apex Legends on Twitch to raise money for multiple charities.

Post Malone has been streaming Apex Legends on Twitch every day since July 18 and will continue until July 24, with proceeds going to four different charities. The event includes four Twitch streams over the four days, specifically July 18, 20, 22 and 24, starting at 6pm PT and 9pm ET, respectively.

Respawn Entertainment is participating in the campaign too, donating $10,000 to each organization. To increase viewership, the Developer is also promoting Post Malone’s stream via Twitter and social media.

The money will be donated to the following charities:

  • The Trevor Project — an organization providing crisis relief for the LGBTQ community
  • Project Hope — an organization fighting climate change
  • Human Rights Watch — an organization dedicated to researching and promoting human rights
  • United Way — an organization that raises money for victims in Ukraine

Favorite game Apex

Post Malone is known for being a big fan of Apex Legnds and he’s been playing the game for years. “I’ve never been a battle royale guy because I’m not that good at it, but there was something about Apex that made me want to play it and I really enjoyed it,” said Post Malone in an interview with Full Send last month. By the looks of it, he is pretty good at Apex, too.

A video of Malone winning a team fight is already circulating on social media, suggesting he’s been training hard. He even said during a February duo stream with Timmy “iiTzTimmy” An that it reignited his passion for gaming after years of neglecting his hobby.

“There wasn’t one game that really got me into playing video games,” he explained in February 2022 during a gaming session with iiTzTimmy, with whom he occasionally streams. “This game really brought back my passion for gaming.”

When asked why he prefers Apex over other titles, he explained: “Fortnite has never interested me because I don’t want 12-year-olds throwing ’90s at me and making me point my monitor across the room to throw.”

Post on Twitch

No wonder Post Malone’s first stream was a huge success. He averaged over 20,400 viewers, with a peak of 23,701 viewers, putting him at the top of the category alongside Brandon “Aceu” Winn. The Grammy-nominated rapper can sometimes be seen on his Twitch channel, occasionally taking solace with fellow Apex Legends fans when bugs keep ruining the gameplay.
