The main celebration of the event is a festive costume Pokémon.
- During Winter Weekend, Eevee wearing a holiday hat is featured
- There is a higher chance of getting a shiny holiday hat Eevee from Timed Research rewards
One of the biggest attractions is the evolution flexibility. You can evolve holiday hat Eevee into all eight Eeveelutions:
- Jolteon
- Vaporeon
- Flareon
- Espeon
- Umbreon
- Leafeon
- Glaceon
- Sylveon
Every one of the evolved forms will also be wearing the holiday hat. To gather every Eeveelution, it is better to catch at least nine Eevee, and in case of a lucky shiny evolutionary line, you will get the costume too.
Winter Weekend Special (Timed) Research
During the Winter Weekend, an event, exclusive Timed Research will be available.
- You have to finish all the research before the event ends
- The tasks and the complete list of rewards are still under wraps
Confirmed and hinted rewards include:
- Meetings with holiday hat Eevee (shiny could be)
- Stardust
- XP
More prizes may be included when the full task list is disclosed.
The Pokémon GO Winter Weekend event is a short, compact, but valuable holiday event mainly focused on costumed Eevee, GO Pass progression, and time-limited rewards. If you’re a collector or still working on your Winter Holiday GO Pass, then this event is definitely worth your time.
