South Korea’s top PUBG Mobile teams are preparing for another major domestic battle. PMPS 2026 Season 2 begins on October 3 with 16 teams competing for ₩40 million in prize money and a direct place at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2026.

The tournament runs through October 18 and combines two online Circuit Stage weeks with an offline Grand Final in Daejeon. Five additional teams will also qualify for the Battleground Mobile Invitation Cup.

Sixteen Teams Enter PMPS Season 2

KRAFTON has assembled a 16-team field through three different qualification routes.

Four organizations enter as Partner Teams, seven qualified through regional teams in the Korean Esports League, and another five earned their places through the PUBG Mobile Open Challenge.

The complete field includes:

  • 5Hz, APEX, Chungnam CNJ esports and DAEJEON GAME PT
  • Dplus Kia, FN SEJONG, FOCUS and G.N. Revenant NOVA
  • GyeongBuk Ascenders, INCHEON WAVE, Jeonnam Esports and KIWOOM DRX
  • KX GAMING, NS RedForce, Re Mind and TEAM CG

The mix gives established Korean organizations another opportunity to compete against teams that have progressed through regional and open qualification systems.

Circuit Stage Runs Across Five Match Days

The competition begins with the Circuit Stage.

Week 1 takes place on October 3 and 4 before action resumes from October 9 through October 11. Each of the five Circuit days consists of six matches, creating a total of 30 games before the offline finals.

Teams are not simply playing for qualification during this stage.

The top three performers on each Circuit day receive Benefit Points. Those points carry directly into the Grand Finals, meaning strong early performances can provide a valuable advantage before the teams arrive in Daejeon.

The Circuit Stage therefore directly influences the championship standings instead of functioning only as a route into the final weekend.

Teams that repeatedly finish near the top can begin the Grand Finals with additional points, although a strong performance during the final weekend can still overcome an early deficit.

Grand Finals Move to Daejeon

The decisive phase will be played offline on October 17 and 18 at the Daejeon Esports Arena.

Twelve matches are scheduled across the two days, with six games played each day.

Stage Dates Format
Circuit Week 1 Oct. 3-4 Online
Circuit Week 2 Oct. 9-11 Online
Grand Finals Oct. 17-18 Offline in Daejeon

The final standings will combine the points earned during the Grand Finals with any Benefit Points carried over from the Circuit Stage.

That format rewards consistency while still giving teams enough matches during the final weekend to make a comeback.

₩40 Million Prize Pool Goes to the Top Three

PMPS Season 2 features a total prize pool of ₩40 million.

Most of the money goes to the eventual champion, while second and third place also receive significant payouts.

The prize distribution is:

  • 1st place – ₩25 million
  • 2nd place – ₩10 million
  • 3rd place – ₩5 million

The winner therefore receives 62.5 percent of the entire prize pool.

For the strongest teams, however, the international qualification attached to the event could be even more important than the domestic prize money.

Champion Qualifies Directly for PMGC 2026

The PMPS Season 2 champion receives South Korea’s direct qualification spot for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2026.

PMGC represents the final major championship of the global PUBG Mobile season, bringing together leading teams from regional competitions around the world.

That creates a straightforward objective for the Korean field: win PMPS and secure a direct route to the world championship.

Five teams will also qualify for the Battleground Mobile Invitation Cup.

BMIC provides another international opportunity and can itself influence the route toward PMGC, making the upper end of the PMPS standings valuable beyond the championship position.

Daejeon Finals Connect With Local Festival

KRAFTON is also connecting the offline finals with Daejeon’s Bread Festival.

Spectators attending the competition can receive collaboration merchandise featuring Kkumdori, Daejeon’s city mascot. Additional PUBG Mobile merchandise will also be distributed through festival activities.

The crossover gives the Grand Finals a broader local-event presence rather than limiting the competition to the esports arena itself.

Matches will also be streamed through PUBG Mobile Korea’s official channels, including YouTube, SOOP, Naver CHZZK and TikTok.

Assessment

PMPS 2026 Season 2 combines domestic competition with significant international consequences.

The direct PMGC qualification spot gives the championship immediate importance, while five additional BMIC places mean the fight near the top of the standings remains relevant even for teams that miss the title.

The Benefit Points system should also make the online Circuit Stage matter from the opening day. Teams cannot simply treat the first two weeks as preparation for the offline finals because strong placements carry directly into the championship weekend.

Dplus Kia, NS RedForce and the other established organizations will enter with recognizable names, but the mixture of partner teams, regional representatives and open qualifiers creates opportunities for less established rosters to break through.

By October 18, Korea will have its latest PMPS champion and another confirmed representative heading toward the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2026.
