Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for August 2026. Subscribers can claim Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk and Signalis from August 4 until August 31.

The lineup combines open-world action, cooperative exploration and psychological survival horror. PlayStation Plus members will also receive access to a separate MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls bonus pack from August 6.

Three Games Join PlayStation Plus in August

The August selection includes titles for PS5 and PS4, although availability differs between games.

The full lineup is:

  • Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition for PS5 and PS4
  • Big Walk for PS5
  • Signalis for PS4

Players must add the games to their libraries before the August 31 deadline. Once claimed, the titles remain available as long as the account maintains an active PlayStation Plus membership.

Dying Light 2 is the largest and most established game in the August lineup.

The other two titles offer very different experiences. Big Walk focuses on social co-op and communication, while Signalis delivers a slower and more isolated horror adventure.

Dying Light 2 Leads the Selection

Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition places players in a post-apocalyptic open world filled with infected creatures and rival human factions.

Players control Aiden Caldwell, a wanderer searching for answers about his past while becoming involved in the future of The City. Parkour plays a major role, allowing players to cross rooftops, avoid enemies and reach new areas quickly.

Combat combines melee weapons, environmental hazards and character upgrades. The game also supports cooperative multiplayer for up to four players. Hosts can invite others into their campaigns, while visiting players can experience the consequences of different story decisions.

Game Platform Main focus
Dying Light 2: Reloaded Edition PS5, PS4 Open-world action and co-op
Big Walk PS5 Cooperative exploration
Signalis PS4 Psychological survival horror
MARVEL Tōkon bonus pack PS5, PS4 accounts Avatars and character poses

The Reloaded Edition includes the updated version of the game rather than only the original 2022 release. It brings together years of post-launch changes and improvements.

Big Walk Focuses on Communication

Big Walk is a cooperative multiplayer adventure from House House, the studio behind Untitled Goose Game.

The game is built around teamwork, communication and casual exploration. Groups enter a large shared world filled with challenges, puzzles and discoveries. Players must stay in contact, use different tools and find alternative ways to communicate when normal conversation becomes difficult.

Key features include:

  • Cooperative challenges based on communication
  • A large environment designed for group exploration
  • Social interactions that are not limited to completing objectives

Big Walk is only available on PS5 within the August lineup. Its inclusion gives subscribers a newer and more experimental multiplayer option alongside the better-known Dying Light 2.

Signalis Adds Classic Survival Horror

Signalis is the darkest title in the selection. Players control Elster, a Replika android who awakens in a surreal retro-futuristic world while searching for her missing partner.

The game combines exploration, puzzles, limited resources and combat against disturbing enemies. Its design draws heavily from classic survival horror, including fixed camera perspectives, inventory management and a strong focus on atmosphere.

Signalis has earned praise from horror fans for its visual direction, fragmented storytelling and cosmic themes. It is smaller in scale than Dying Light 2, but it may be the most distinctive game in the lineup.

The PlayStation Plus version is listed for PS4. PS5 owners can still access supported PS4 games through backward compatibility.

MARVEL Tōkon Pack Arrives on August 6

Sony is also offering a separate PlayStation Plus pack for MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls beginning on August 6.

The pack includes five profile avatars inspired by Captain America, Storm, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom and Ghost Rider. It also contains Result Screen Character Poses for 20 fighters, including Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord and Peni Parker.

Members must redeem and download the pack through the PlayStation Store. The poses can be used in the PS5 version once both the game and bonus content are installed.

The pack will remain available until August 6, 2027, giving subscribers much more time to claim it than the monthly games.

July Games Leave Soon

PlayStation Plus members have until August 3 to claim the July 2026 Monthly Games. That lineup includes Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, For the King II and CrossCode.

Players only need to add the games to their libraries before the deadline. They do not need to download them immediately.

Assessment

The August 2026 PlayStation Plus lineup offers strong variety instead of focusing on one genre.

Dying Light 2 provides the most content and the strongest mainstream appeal. Big Walk gives PS5 users a fresh cooperative experience, while Signalis adds a highly regarded horror game for players who prefer focused single-player titles.

The MARVEL Tōkon bonus pack is a smaller addition, but it gives fighting-game fans another reason to check the PlayStation Store. Overall, the lineup feels balanced and should appeal to several different parts of the PlayStation audience.
