S-Tier Persona Users

Ren Amamiya

Topping the tier list is none other than the original MC of Persona 5. Joker has the Wild Card ability which makes him very flexible. He’s also the current best when we’re talking about DPS (He is the king of Curse damage dealers). His special ability can allow him to attack twice in a single turn. Without a doubt, it’s worth pulling for him if you desire power.

Yaoling Li

Another Curse damage type, but she shines most as a debuffer. Rin is mostly agreed to be the top 1 debuffer in most Persona 5 The Phantom X tier list. Her debuff skills can disable enemies from performing heals, buffs, and attacks for a few terms. It is also universal which makes her a great choice for any team.

Ann Takamaki

The strongest Fire DPS in the game. There are plenty of enemies weak to fire so having her around is great. She specializes in AOE damage which will greatly boost wave clearing. A team centered around her will be enough to crush the early to mid game. Even in the late game, she’s still solid. Best of all, she’s a 5-star character you can pull for free!

Morgana

We know that in Persona games, reviving is a big part of battles. Morgana happens to be the only character with that ability in the game. That alone is enough to earn him a spot in the S tier. He’s also an excellent healer although spamming heals is not his forte. 

A-Tier Persona Users

Lufel

Having him from the start of the game, Lufel can still be solid later on. He is a Support character that shines at buffing attack power. He’s great for a Fire team.

Seiji Shiratori

An assassin that deals the highest single-target damage. He’s great for boss fights to deal significant attacks. However, he may fall short with other types of utility.

Leo Kamamiya

Leo can do Nuclear damage with a balance of supporting abilities. The lower your character’s HP gets, the stronger the buffs he can provide.

Shun Kano

The best defender in our Persona 5 The Phantom X tier list. Shun has the ability to taunt enemies and gain damage reduction.

Miyu Sahara 

A Navigator for your team that excels at defence. Miyu is great at providing shields and boosting defence.

Ryuji Sakamoto

Ryuji is a strong Physical DPS. He can dish more damage the lower his HP gets and he can counter if he’s hit.

B-Tier Persona Users

Kayo Tomiyama

Kayo is a free-to-get Navigator that can greatly enhance your team’s attack power.

Yukimi Fujikawa

Yukimi can grant shields at random for one party member at the start. She can shield up to two characters. She deals Bless damage although her base damage can come a bit short.

Kotane Montagne

She is a solid Ice DPS. Unfortunately, there’s not much good support for ice types in the game. That is why she only makes it to B in our Persona 5 The Phantom X tier list.

Motoha Arai

She’s great for Electric DPS in the early stages. However, it is quite difficult to build a team with her, especially in the early game.

Haruna Nishimori

A support that can greatly boost a party member. She boosts shields, heals, or attacks, depending on the situation.

C-Tier Persona Users

Toshiya Sumi

A Curse DPS that can be viable if you don’t have Joker. Although he lacks the damage capacity overall.

Kiyoshi Kurotani

Kiyoshi can be a good fire support as he can enhance burn effects. He just lacks overall utility compared to other support.

Tomoko Noge

As a support, she is considered the weakest in the current meta. For now, she stays at C in our Persona 5 The Phantom X tier list.
