Now, fans who live in regions like Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines have access to this game on iOS, Android, and PC.
Prior to launch, this game had a pre-registration period starting from late May 2025. Originally released in China and South Korea in early 2024, it was released globally on June 26, 2025 (minus SEA). Moreover, there was an overwhelming response leading up to the launch of over 1 million pre-registrations.
New Hero, New World
Persona 5: The Phantom X introduces a modernized Tokyo that is both similar to and different from Persona 5’s. Moreover, it follows up on the story of Persona 5 while presenting a new story in a new universe. A brand-new protagonist wakes up from a terrible nightmare into a world that has unnaturally sucked hope out of it. He has some mysterious friends that he meets along the way as well.
During the day, the main character lives the life of a student. Then at night, they enter the Metaverse, a realm that embodies cognition, where twisted desires take the form of dungeons called “Palaces.” In this instance, it’s the job of the protagonist, along with his compatriots, the “Phantom Thieves,” to traverse these Palaces. Stealthily, they enter and steal Treasures (the core of corrupted hearts) and then deal directly with the Shadows (representations of destructive desires).
SEA Launch Rewards and Bonuses
To celebrate Persona 5: The Phantom X’s launch in SEA, players were offered an awesome selection of launch rewards as a thank you to the community and to enhance the player experience on Day 1. It’s worth mentioning that all players who pre-registered before the launch had some great milestone rewards. These include 20 free contract draws and 15 free weapon draws that really gave players some helpful momentum. But even more fun were these generous bonuses. Players also received a free outfit for the main character, along with an avatar frame and an exclusive player card.
