Fnatic has had a great series of results in the last few months. They finished fifth-eight at IEM Rio Major and then won the title at Elisa Masters Espoo 2022. These results have been their best since the Autumn of 2021.

Right now, thanks to performing well at their last few tournaments, Fnatic are ranked 10th globally and have become a highly respected CS:GO team once again. Unfortunately for them, Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson got injured, so the current lineup is probably weaker than before.

Apart from KRIMZ, Fnatic have lost another good player. Or maybe they didn’t lose him but simply sent him to play for Fnatic Rising and enjoy a few more years of academy CS:GO.

Who is Peppzor

Peppe “Peppzor” Borak did an excellent job at Elisa Masters Espoo 2022. We can’t say that he was instrumental in Fnatic’s success, but he definitely carried his own weight. His scores were mostly positive and he proved capable of playing his part in Fnatic’s overall strategy.

At the age of just 20, Peppzor is clearly a very talented player with a bright future ahead of him. In a few months or years, we might see him competing for the main Fnatic roster or perhaps some other top CS:GO team.

We’ve already seen cases where a strong academy player, such as Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, gets transferred from one club to another for a significant amount of money despite his lack of experience. Peppzor could be one of those players, but he still has a lot to learn about the game.

What’s next for Peppzor and Fnatic

It is not yet clear what comes next for Fnatic. KRIMZ is supposed to be recovering from his hand injury but he’s still listed as part of the active roster. Is he fine now? Or is Fnatic not yet able to reveal who will replace him? They clearly had the possibility to keep Peppzor on the main team, but they decided not to.

This is an indication that they have big plans and don’t believe in Peppzor’s ability to have the impact they desire at this point in his career. But then, who’s the player who will replace KRIMZ and do a better job than Peppzor? Nobody knows at the moment.

As for Peppzor, he’s left not only Fnatic but Fnatic Rising as well. This is an indication that he might have received good offers after his performance at Elisa Masters Espoo 2022. By the end of December we will know for sure what the situation is.
