We are just a few hours away from the start of season 6 of the Overwatch League, and after several months of waiting by teams and fans, we will be able to see our favorite players in the arena.

After much expectation around the realization and the start of the Overwatch League, the good news is that, in the next few hours, we will have the kick-off of the 2023 season. All teams are already prepared for what is coming, and undoubtedly it will be a truly spectacular tournament.

In the 2022 season, we saw how the Dallas Fuel were crowned champions with an all-Korean squad. However, this season they will have other contenders who, without a doubt, have an extremely good lineup of players.

Overwtach League 2023 – Details

With the Pro-Am tournament in history, all OWL teams have their sights set on what this season opener will be like. Likewise, the Florida Mayhem come into this season opener with tremendous confidence after winning the Pro-Am just a few weeks ago.

Starting next Thursday, April 27th, the OWL teams will meet in each region to compete in the 2023 season. For this season, there have been changes in teams in the regions, changes in the format and, one of the most interesting of all, is the change in the minimum age to compete, because now the promises can step on the big stage with 17 years. There is no doubt that this measure will help young talents to exploit their potential at the highest competitive level.

On the other hand, to enjoy each of the OWL 2023 matches, all fans can tune in to the Overwatch League’s official YouTube channel.

OWL 2023 – Schedule and Format

As we mentioned, the OWL has slightly changed the format for this 2023 season, as Blizzard decided to incorporate Contenders-level teams in the East. However, these teams will have to fight against those of the Open Division to see who will be the 12 that will be able to play the Spring Stage Opens. On the other hand, this tournament is played in parallel to the Spring Stage Qualifiers, which corresponds to the top tier of the OWL.

Finally, the teams with the best performance and record in the Spring Stage Opens will play the Knockouts, where they will finally face several OWL teams.
