Overwatch 2 is running a limited-time NERF crossover event in Season 17, bringing fast-paced action and foam-themed firepower to the game. The update includes a new arcade mode built around rapid eliminations and forced hero swaps, along with weapon skins modeled after real NERF blasters. Players can expect custom animations, new sound effects, and gameplay designed to keep momentum high
Skins, Loadouts and Event Coverage
The Collab is live from August 5 to August 18, 2025. It includes one Legendary skin and six Epic weapon skins. They apply to hero weapons without changing your existing outfits. Players keep their cosmetics while equipping the NERF-themed gear.

NERF or Nothin’ Arcade Mode

The event adds a limited-time arcade mode with hero switching and cooldown changes. It’s a fast-paced mode that tests flexibility and aim.
- 8-player free-for-all deathmatch
- First to 20 kills wins
- Players start with a random hero (Mercy and Lifeweaver excluded)
- Hero changes after every elimination or after three deaths
- Cooldowns reduced by 80 percent
- Ultimate charge is preserved after death, starting at 15 percent
- Maps in rotation include Blizzard World, Château, King’s Row, and Paris
The mode rewards players who can use multiple heroes. If you only rely on one role or playstyle, the format makes it hard to keep up.
