Noah Lyles sprinted his way to the gold medal in the 100-meter dash just the other day! 

He edged Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson and his American buddy Fred Kerley in what many consider the wildest 100-meter final in history. All eight runners were insanely fast – everyone crossed the finish line in under ten seconds!

After Lyles just won gold he’s now attracting headlines for more than his speed. It turns out that this lightning fast sprinter is also an anime and gaming geek! 

You have got to believe it? At the same time he’s been taking over the track and challenging stereotypes about athletes.

But Lyles wasn’t done yet! He was eyeing another two gold medals – in the 200m dash and the 4×100 m relay. He just wanted more wins. 

But guess what? He’s already planning his victory party! He’s diving into League of Legends right after returning home.

Noah Lyles: The Fastest Gamer in the World?

Noah Lyles sent the internet into a frenzy after writing on social media that he was planning to dive into a League of Legends match after the race “This bout to be me after the 4x100m” he tweeted. 

The official League of Legends Twitter account was quick to react to the message and tweeted back, saying  “World’s fastest guy plays League… Rammus main confirmed.”

From Gold Medals to Game Controllers

Lyles is so much more than a fast runner. He’s obsessed with gaming, especially League of Legends. 

He showed off his swanky gaming setup with matching colors last year. And wait a second, he actually got his Yu-Gi-Oh! cards out during the Olympic trials! 

He even threw out the Blue Eyes White Dragon and Exodia cards before races – which exploded online. He posed with Exodia after winning the 100 meters.

It’s not just anime and gaming though. But Lyles also enjoys helping others. He established a charity to support healthy and happy children. He is like, “Let’s put our passions and talents toward making this world a much better place.”
