OG Continues To Lose In DreamLeague Season 24, Will They Ever Recover?

Bad days turned into a bad series. The once-dominating Dota 2 team OG suffered another devastating loss in their match in DreamLeague Season 24: Western Europe Closed Qualifier. It was a disappointing performance from the team after the Ukrainian team Palianytsia handed them defeat. With this loss, fans began to question whether the two-time The International Champions can return to their former glory or remain as a history in Dota 2.

There has been criticism over the team’s roster decisions in which a user said, “It’s impressive how every OG roster is worse than the previous one. You’d think an organization that won 2 TIs would be able to attract some decent names, but nope.” This criticism is directed to the OG player, Whisper, whom fans are calling out to be replaced for his inconsistency and lack of stellar performances throughout their competition.

OG’s Uncertain Future

With this defeat, OG is in a dangerous position, as they are now on the brink of elimination. They will face the Dandelions in the DreamLeague Season 24 elimination match. The team would have to put their lives hanging in the balance once more after failing to qualify for TI 24. With these, OG has no other choice but to pull a win and continue their campaign in the tournament. 

It’ll be the lowest point for the organization if they fail to secure this victory, as it would mean that OG has not qualified for any major tournaments since April 2024.
