HellRaisers have announced the arrival of Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok, with the former Virtus Pro offlaner being part of the organization’s overhaul. HellRaisers parted ways with three Dota 2 players some months ago, with the signing of Resolut1on demonstrating that they are still keen to be a major player in the scene.
As we have already alluded to, Resolut1on is a former Virtus Pro player, with the Ukrainian having been looking for a move after he was benched in favor of VP.Prodigy talent. The 24-year-old was the final remaining Virtus Pro player to be without a new team, however having won the ESL One Genting 2017, MDL Macau and GESC: Thailand Dota2 Minor, it comes as little surprise that Fominok has been acquired.
How the HellRaisers Lineup Will Look Following the Arrival of Resolut1on
Resolut1on will team up with HellRaisers team captain Alexander “Nix” Levin, as well as CIS favorite Ilya “Lil” Ilyuk. In moving to HellRaisers, Fominok will return to position one for the first time since making the shift back to Europe. The HellRaisers lineup now looks very good on paper, with the organization having capitalized on the openness of the CIS Dota scene. However, it is still Natus Vincere and Virtus Pro who are the major players in the region.
The Ukrainian veteran has been competing in Dota 2 since back in 2013, having started his journey with ICCup, before moving on to the likes of Team Empire, Digital Chaos, OG, Forward Gaming and J.Storm. Resolut1on has featured in the latter stages of The International on more than one occasion, with the most famous coming with Digital Chaos, alongside Aliwi “w33” Omar and Martin “Saska” Sazdov. The team eventually finished second, losing out to Wings Gaming at The International 6.
What Else We Can Expect from HellRaisers Ahead of the Dota Pro Circuit
With the Dota Pro Circuit getting underway on January 18, HellRaisers have a few weeks in order to announce their remaining two players for its new look roster. In their last outing, HellRaisers were defeated 2-0 by Tempo Esports at the EPIC League Closed Qualifier.
HellRaisers returned to the Dota 2 scene in September 2019 with a lineup featuring Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov, Alexander “Nix” Levin, Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin, Ilya “ALOHADANCE” Korobkin and Alik “V-Tune” Vorobey. With such players on board, HellRaisers qualified for the DOTA Summit 11 Minor.
