Nvidia to upgrade its GeForce Now streaming service

fragster Eduardo 4. January 2023

NVIDIA has just announced a new update to the GeForce Now service. But the best news is that it will be based on the RTX 4080 to give users a spectacular experience.

At the end of January, in Europe and North America, the lucky ones will be able to enjoy this new performance-enhancing experience.

This is mainly due to the RTX 4080 SuperPODs, which, according to NVIDIA:

“Will deliver more than 64 teraflops of graphics power to an individual user via the cloud.”

These data are the best, making these the most anticipated graphics cards in recent months.

Performance is five times greater than an Xbox Series X

NVIDIA has released that this update will be more than 5x the performance of an Xbox Series X and nearly 2x that of previous generation RTX GPUs.

In addition, NVIDIA also notes that it will now be possible to stream video games at up to 240 frames per second from the cloud with complete ray tracing enabled and DLSS 3.

What else does this update offer?

With the addition of Nvidia’s Reflex technology, GeForce Now achieves a per-pixel click latency of fewer than 40 milliseconds. Translating this into a less technical register is a milestone for NVIDIA’s RTX series graphics cards.

The service will also support monitors with a resolution higher than 4K.

It should be noted, and this is to be welcomed, that current GeForce NOW RTX 3080 members will see their subscriptions upgraded to the Ultimate version at no cost.

However, other plans will be available if you are a new user. Or, if you want to join the NVIDIA bandwagon, you’ll be able to purchase subscriptions for about 20 euros per month. You will also be able to pay a total amount of 100 euros for six months.

GPUs are crucial to the performance of a PC

While it is true that RAM, the processor, and the SSD can give PCs extraordinary performance. There is no doubt that, when it comes to a Gamer PC, the GPU is the most important thing.

That is why gamers invest a lot of time and money to create a PC that will ensure they have the highest possible graphics and FPS.

Other gamers have opted to use some cloud services as they cannot afford to make these excessive expenditures. However, while these services often tend to beat the stats of a lower-quality PC, it is very complicated to meet the performance and demands that some gamers expect.

But NVIDIA is trying to change this entirely with the GeForce Now update to the RTX 4080 treatment. So the gamers can have spectacular graphics and, as we mentioned, stream games at 240 FPS.
