Indian esports and gaming company NODWIN Gaming has officially named mobile operating system Android as the title partner for the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 3. BGMI, in essence, is the India-exclusive version of the worldwide esports title PUBG Mobile.
As part of this partnership, all teams competing in the tournament will use high-end Android devices.
BGMS Season 3 Powered by Android
The collaboration with Android not only involves the exclusive use of Android devices but also includes the naming rights for the tournament, now officially known as Android BGMS Season 3. This partnership underscores Android’s commitment to enhancing the gaming experience for competitors and fans alike.
In addition to Android, NODWIN Gaming has introduced skincare brand Garnier Men as a new partner for the tournament. This marks the first time both Android and Garnier Men are collaborating with an esports event in India. Other notable partners include energy drink brand Red Bull and anime streaming platform Crunchyroll. Returning partners TVS Raider and Philips OneBlade continue their support from previous seasons, bringing the total number of partners to six.
Tournament Details
Android BGMS Season 3 kicked off on July 19th and will run until August 11th, featuring 24 teams competing for a prize pool of ₹10m INR (~£92,500). Since its reintroduction to the Indian market in May 2023, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has remained one of the most popular esports titles in the region. Earlier this year, Skyesports launched a city-based league featuring 16 teams, further cementing BGMI’s presence in the Indian esports scene.
Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, expressed excitement about the partnerships: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Android, Garnier Men, and Red Bull for the highly anticipated third season of BGMS. Their involvement not only highlights the emergence of esports as a mainstream sport but also showcases the massive potential of youth engagement in this field. Together, we are confident in our ability to provide the necessary resources and visibility required to nurture and promote esports talent nationwide.”
With Android BGMS Season 3, NODWIN Gaming continues to push the boundaries of esports in India, bringing together top brands and talented players for a groundbreaking tournament experience.
