Nexa’s Next CS2 Team

fragster Radu M. M. 29. June 2024

Nexa joined G2 Esports in November 2023 and spent just seven months competing for this formidable esports organization, whose CS2 team features two of the world’s best five players, NiKo and m0NESY.

During this time, G2 obtained a lot of decent results. They were 5th – 6th at four S-tier tournaments, 3rd – 4th at two other events (one of them being the Copenhagen Major), and 1st at IEM Dallas. Overall, not bad at all.

G2 were ranked 5th in the world during most of the months when nexa was part of the team. But because of the club’s ambition to climb even higher, something had to be done. Obviously, NiKo, m0NESY, and huNter- were irreplaceable. HooXi, the IGL, proved himself in 2023, when G2 won IEM Katowice and IEM Cologne.

The only player who could be changed was nexa, and he was well aware of it. His departure was a graceful one but everyone wondered where he would play next.

Nexa’s New Team

According to rumors, nexa’s next team will be BLEED Esports. This team is currently competing mostly in B-tier and some A-tier tournaments. But the roster is full of strong players, including jkaem and hampus. The coach is kassad.

With nexa’s signing, BLEED would greatly upgrade their CS2 roster and benefit from the experience of someone who competed alongside some of the world’s best players for many months.

The 27-year-old may not be as good as m0NESY or NiKo but he was clearly good enough to help them obtain numerous important results. If he joins BLEED, we could quickly see this team climbing through the ranks and reaching the top 24. In other words, we would likely see this team at S-tier tournaments next year.

So far, BLEED’s results have not been very impressive. But we need to remember that the team was created at the end of last year. Jkaem and nawwk were signed only in May this year. So the project is still in its infancy.

With several months of practice, BLEED’s roster (assuming they sign nexa, of course) should be good enough to start qualifying for future S-tier tournaments. We know that hampus is a very capable player and jkaem had excellent results while playing for Apeks. Nawwk was his teammate, so he too has what it takes to give BLEED a good chance of winning qualifiers.

Overall, this team looks very exciting, so it wouldn’t surprise anyone if nexa decided to join.
