Valorant’s agent roster is going to expand again, and the community is talking about the game’s 29th agent, codenamed Veto. With Champions 2025 coming soon, leaks say Riot Games will use the tournament to show the new Sentinel, maybe changing the competitive meta.
Release Timeline & Who is Veto? (Name, Role & Origin)
Leaks point to October 5, 2025 night before the Champions grand finals as Veto’s reveal date. Riot is expected to show him via a live showmatch with pros and streamers in Paris. Release is said to be in Patch 11.08, probably between October 14–17, 2025, but exact timing can change by region. Official confirmation is expected during Champions weekend.

Multiple leaks say Veto will be a Senegalese Sentinel and the third African agent in Valorant, after Cypher and Astra. He’s also said to be the first new Sentinel since Vyse in August 2024. Leaks describe him as a “Radivore Mutation” an ability or trait that can “shut down and get rid of enemy effects.” This shows a disruptive playstyle aimed at stopping opponents’ gadgets and abilities, making him a potential counter-utility agent.
Leaked Abilities & Speculated Kit
Note- Riot has yet to disclose Veto’s abilities, but dataminers and insiders have posted a provisional kit:

- C – Eddy Current Break: Upon deployment, you drop an orb that wets your position. If you are in the orb’s field when timed, you teleport back to the spot of the orb. During the buy phase, it can be moved or picked up.
- Q – Fission Fragments: Throw a mutated slime fragment that creates a trap that stuns or corrupts enemies that walk through it. The trap can be destroyed before it activates.
- E – Phage: Trigger a device that destroys enemy gadgets or bouncing utilities. The device can also be destroyed.
- X (Ultimate) – Fully Evolve: Evolve into a mutated version of yourself, and boost combat status, regenerate, and don’t become affected by anything, including blinds and turrets.
If accurately portrayed, Veto’s kit would be the most disruptive agent in Valorant, easily maneuvering across the battleground while countering other agents relying on utility-based strategies.
As such, until Riot officially confirms the contents of Veto’s kit, all materials should be treated as speculative. However, if this information leak is accurate, Veto has the potential to open new avenues of talk in defensive strategies while rewarding players opting for tactics that require gadget-reliance, ultimately changing how Sentinels work within Valorant’s meta.
