Netflix Releases a Trailer for Season 2 of Arcane

A new trailer for the critically acclaimed League of Legends show Arcane has started popping out on YouTube. Netflix, League of Legends, and all other relevant channels have shared the new sneak peek of the upcoming Season 2 of Arcane, which is scheduled to release somewhere in November.

“WE ARE SO BACK, PLEASE BE QUICK NOVEMBER!!” commented a YouTube fan of the series. The hype of the comment is more than justified, as it perfectly aligns with the electrifying energy that is related through the trailer.

The video starts with Jinx on-boarding a destroyed structure, presumably a boat, and it cuts down to a crying and distraught Vi exclaiming “there is only Jinx now,” implying that her loving sister powder is long gone.

Following these scenes is a super cool montage of the opposing factions and their leadership, preparing for a battle of heavenly proportions. We are seeing that Jinx has elevated to the highest level of status and became a symbol of the Undercity. The other side shows Piltover soldiers making their rounds and preparing for the inevitable clash.

The Story Recap

The great show takes place in the two conflicting cities, Piltover and Zaun. The main story follows the lives and a chaotic to say the least, relationship between the two sisters Vi and Jinx. In the first of the three acts, we are introduced to the unfortunate event that has led Jinx astray.

Act 1

After having failed a heist in Piltover, Vi, Powder, and their friends get chased by the enforcers. Their guardian, Vander, finds himself captured by a criminal named Silco. In an attempt to rescue Vander, Powder makes a critical mistake that leads to the death of her friends. In the moment of heightened emotions, Vi lashes out on Powder, who then runs away and ends up getting taken by Silco in a twisted turn of events. 

Act 2

Several years later, the second act shows the thriving Piltover, powered by the new hextech technology, masterfully developed by Jayce and Viktor. Meanwhile, Jinx has become a notorious criminal under the hands of Silco. Caitlyn releases the Vi who has gotten imprisoned, to aid her in bringing Jinx to justice. The unrest between the two main cities begins growing rapidly.

Act 3

The peak of the conflict has been documented in the third act. The two innovators, Jayce and Viktor, start facing issues with their technology, and Viktor begins to decline in health. Caitlyn and Vi go on to form an alliance with Zaunites in order to challenge Silco. As the plot unfolds, we see Jinx becoming more unstable, which has culminated in her kidnapping Vi and Caitlyn. The season concludes with a cliffhanger, where Jinx is unleashing an attack on the Piltover’s city council.

Final Thoughts

The fan-favorite and highly critically acclaimed show by Riot Games has another season in store. The season 2 of Arcane is set to release somewhere in November, without a clear date in sight. The trailer shows the two opposing fractions preparing for the inevitable conflict. 

All things considered, there is no denying that the first season was a masterpiece regardless of the criteria used to judge it. From the trailer alone, it would also be fair to assume that the next season will be nothing short of spectacular. We are all eager to see how the story will unfold!
