The Finnish organization ENCE confirmed a few hours ago the signing of the Israeli Guy “NertZ” Iluz for its CS:GO lineup replacing Valdemar “valde” Vangså.

Now, NertZ, a young Israeli promise and incredibly talented rifler, join the roster of a very important organization like ENCE, who just a few days ago sent valde to the bench.

ENCE replaces valde with NertZ

Every day that passes, we have new changes in the squads of esports teams worldwide. Now, ENCE, through a post on its Twitter account, announced the signing of the 23-year-old Israeli, Nertz, to replace valde.

Eetu “sAw” Saha said in an interview that ENCE had long been after the young Israeli rifler and said:

“His skills and potential are undeniable. He seems to fit the team very well in terms of his role and personality. I am delighted to welcome Nertz to the team and start working hard to reach our full potential together.”

This move comes after ENCE’s disappointing performance at IEM Katowice 2023, where the team was eliminated in the Play-IN phase. Additionally, a few days ago, the team failed to qualify for the upcoming IEM Rio 2023.

Valde sent to ENCE’s bench

Less than six months after his arrival at ENCE, Valde was sent to the team’s bench on February 14. In the team’s official statement, ENCE claims this move is due to “differences in playing style.”. In addition, they mentioned that these differences were very complicated to solve, and the team preferred to sign a new player who would adapt to the team’s style of play.

About NertZ

The 23-year-old Guy “NertZ” Iluz has had exponential growth in his level of play since the 2022 season. According to HLTV, NertZ had a rating of 1.19 in the ESL Pro League S16 that was played in September 2022. Most surprisingly, NertZ achieved this rating playing for an Endpoint that finished with a 1-4 record in the tournament.

There is no doubt that NertZ was the star of Endpoint, and his growth came hand in hand when he made the jump to the international scene. The player has stated that most of his career has been spent in the Israeli CS:GO competitive scene.

This is the Finnish organization’s second time in history that an Israeli rifler will play under their banner. Let’s remember that Lotan “Spinx” Giladi became one of the best riflers in the world during his stint with ENCE in 2022. However, the latter embarked on his way to Team Vitality in August last season.

Absolute admiration for Spinx and flameZ

NertZ has made no secret of his deep admiration for his compatriots Spinx and Shahar “flameZ” Shushan. The new ENCE player notes that he has been a fan of the pair since they played on the national scene in Israel.

Now, NertZ will have the complicated task of making his debut in the top tier of CS:GO in the ESL Pro League S17. In this tournament, ENCE is part of Group D, which comprises Team Liquid, Rare Atom, ATK, Team Spirit, Astralis, forZe, and NaVi.

Now, ENCE’s lineup for the ESL Pro League S17 is as follows:

  • Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer
  • Paweł “dycha” Dycha
  • Pavle “maden” Bošković
  • Álvaro “SunPayus” García
  • Guy “NertZ” Iluz
  • Eetu “sAw” Saha – Head Coach
