Natus Vincere have won the Marvel Rivals Ignite 2026 Mid-Season Finals after defeating Liquid Citadel 4-2 in the Grand Final in Los Angeles.

The EMEA champions completed the tournament without losing a series and earned $160,000 alongside eight League Points. Marschal “Terra” Weaver received the Finals MVP award after playing a central role in NAVI’s undefeated international run.

The victory strengthens NAVI’s position at the top of the EMEA standings and establishes the team as an early favourite for the Marvel Rivals Ignite Grand Finals later in the year.

NAVI Complete an Undefeated Playoff Run

NAVI entered the Mid-Season Finals directly through the Main Stage after winning Ignite Stage 1 in the EMEA region. The team immediately demonstrated that its regional success could translate to an international LAN.

Its path to the trophy included:

  • A 2-0 victory over North American side 100 Thieves
  • A 2-0 win against EMEA rival Virtus.pro
  • A 3-1 upper-bracket victory over Liquid Citadel
  • A 4-2 Grand Final win in the rematch with Liquid

NAVI reached the decisive series without dropping a match. Liquid Citadel recovered from the upper-bracket defeat by sweeping RAD 3-0 in the lower final, setting up a second encounter between the tournament’s two strongest teams.

The rematch was more competitive than the first meeting. Liquid won two maps and temporarily disrupted NAVI’s momentum, but the European roster adapted and closed the best-of-seven series after six maps.

NAVI’s ability to defeat leading teams from both EMEA and North America gives the result greater significance than a regional title alone.

Terra Leads NAVI to the Championship

Terra finished the Grand Final with 102 final blows, the highest total recorded by any player in the series. His performance earned him the Finals MVP award.

After the victory, Terra said that the result proved he could succeed on LAN and defeat top opposition from both North America and Europe. He also made clear that the team’s ambitions extend beyond the Mid-Season trophy, identifying the Ignite Grand Finals as NAVI’s next target.

Final placement Team Prize money League Points
1st NAVI $160,000 8
2nd Liquid Citadel $80,000 6
3rd RAD $60,000 5
4th Swamp Gaming $50,000 4

The MVP award also strengthens Terra’s reputation as one of the most impactful players in the developing Marvel Rivals esports scene. NAVI’s roster combined his individual output with coordinated team play and effective mid-series adaptation.

Liquid Citadel Push NAVI Across Six Maps

Liquid Citadel entered the event as North America’s leading representative and reached the Grand Final despite losing to NAVI earlier in the bracket.

The team responded strongly after falling into the lower bracket, eliminating RAD without dropping a map. In the final, Liquid again showed that it could challenge NAVI’s setups, taking two maps and forcing the EMEA champions to adjust.

NAVI’s players later described Liquid’s approach as aggressive and heavily based around a familiar composition. The European side had encountered similar strategies in practice and believed its preparation helped it find answers during the series.

Several factors separated NAVI from its opponents:

  • Strong adaptation after losing consecutive maps
  • Consistent performances across multiple game modes
  • Experience gained from winning the EMEA Stage 1 title
  • Reliable individual contributions throughout the roster

Liquid’s second-place finish still confirms the organisation as one of North America’s strongest Marvel Rivals teams. However, the two defeats against NAVI showed that the international competitive hierarchy remains open to change.

NAVI Move to the Top of the EMEA Standings

The eight League Points awarded for first place move NAVI to the top of the EMEA regional leaderboard. League Points will remain important as teams attempt to qualify for the season’s biggest events.

The Mid-Season Finals also provided the clearest international comparison so far between the leading regional teams. NAVI defeated representatives from North America and EMEA, while RAD finished third and Swamp Gaming placed fourth.

Gen.G and Virtus.pro shared fifth-sixth place. 100 Thieves and OUG finished seventh-eighth, while REJECT and Aconyx completed the standings.

The next competitive phase begins with Stage 2 events across the regional circuits. NAVI will now have to maintain its form while rivals analyse the strategies that produced the Los Angeles title.

Assessment

NAVI’s Mid-Season Finals victory is an important moment for both the organisation and Marvel Rivals esports. The team did not simply survive a close bracket. It completed the tournament undefeated and defeated Liquid Citadel twice.

Terra’s MVP performance gave NAVI a clear standout player, but the title was also built on roster-wide consistency and tactical flexibility. The team remained composed after setbacks in the Grand Final and successfully adjusted to Liquid’s preferred style.

One international event is not enough to establish permanent regional dominance. Future stages may produce different metas, roster changes and stronger opposition. NAVI must now prove that its Los Angeles success can continue across the rest of the season.

For the moment, the EMEA champions hold the strongest available international result. Their next major challenge will be turning one trophy into a longer period of dominance at the top of Marvel Rivals competition.
