NASCAR, the North American stock car racing organization, has teamed up with BLAST, a tournament organizer, for the 2024 Rocket organization World Championship and the FNCS Global Championship.
In line with that, there will be a car show at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, throughout the festivities, and the NASCAR brand will be promoted both online and in the area. The agreement also covered BLAST’s continued manufacture of FNCS.
Blast expressed their excitement on the partnership with NASCAR for the 2024 Rocket League World Championship and FNCS Global Championship.
For them, the partnership of the fan’s devoted communities – motorsports and esports- is where both of these communities come together to honor competitive achievement.
So with that, they promise to provide an unmatched experience for both competitors and fans of Fortnite and Rocket League.
Purpose Of The Collaboration
NASCAR partners with Blast in an effort to increase its viewership. Since the height of COVID-19, Nascar has been dipping more and more into esports wherein, the eNascar iRacing Pro Invitational Series was launched during that time.
Having already worked with the game’s developer, Psyonix, NASCAR furthered its commitment to the Rocket League community last summer when it forged a relationship with Gen.G.
Nascar introduced Rocket Racing – a racing experience into the Fortnite ecosystem in July. More than 148 players from more than 35 nations are competing in this year’s FNCS Global Championship and Rocket League World Championship, which have a total prize fund of more than US$3 million.
Another reason why NASCAR partners with Blast, is because Blast wants to amplify the event experience both for those attending the event in person and virtually.
Broadcast material featuring well-known Rocket League and Fortnite players competing in NASCAR-inspired challenges is part of the agreement.
Conversely, BLAST will conclude its partnership with NASCAR by hosting the Rocket League World Championship. Blast is the production team for the 2024 Rocket League World Championship and Fortnite FNCS Global Championship.
Blast ascertained to fans attending the Fortnite FNCS and Rocket League Championship competitions that they will be seeing a car show on display inside the Dickies Arena.
The show will also feature well-known Fortnite and Rocket League creators. NASCAR partners with Blast to promote NASCAR and widen its influence to the viewers.
FNC And Rocket League Prizes And Schedule
The FNC and Rocket League tournaments are quickly approaching The FNCS Global Championship is scheduled for September 7 and 8.
There will be 50 of the top Fortnite pairs from around the globe, spanning from Asia to North America, competing in this competition.
A $2 million prize pool will be up for grabs in 12 matches between the contenders. Starting on September 7, you can watch the event live on YouTube, Twitch, or the official Fortnite website.
The event will continue on September 10 and September 15. Sixteen teams will fight over five days for the prize. NASCAR partners with Blast is considered an innovative move for it is uncommon for a traditional sports franchise to support a gaming one.
NASCAR, a US motor-racing series, and Blast, an esports event organizer. The two are very opposite, however, each party assures one would benefit from this partnership especially the fans of both sports.
