While it is true that the RMRs for the CS:GO Paris Major in part of Europe are coming to an end, some teams are not satisfied with what they have achieved so far in the tournament and have decided to make some changes in the lineup. The most notable of these changes is by Virtus.pro (formerly Outsiders), the last Major played in 2022.

The Russian squad has decided to replace Aleksandr “KaiR0N-” Anashkin in the middle of the qualifying tournament for the last Major in the CS:GO era with David “n0rb3r7” Danielyan. This entire move comes hours before the elimination match against MOUZ, to be played today, Saturday, April 8.

Virtus.pro replaces KaiR0N- with n0rb3r7

A few hours ago, Russian organization and reigning IEM Rio Major 2022 champions Virtus.pro announced that n0rb3r7 is returning to the team’s starting lineup instead of KaiR0N-.

While it is uncommon to make such changes to a major team’s lineup in the middle of a tournament, the organization’s explanation has surprised many. According to Virtus.pro CEO Nikolai Petrossian, KaiR0N- has failed to handle the pressure at LAN events.

According to the team’s official statement, it is detailed that young players often fail to adapt to the situation at LAN events. In addition, when the qualification to the last CS:GO Major is at stake, the big teams can’t afford to take advantage of a scared player.

Then, in the official statement, Pretossian said that n0rb3r7 is a player with excellent talent and that they are very fortunate to have him. Moreover, the match against MOUZ could be crucial for his definitive return to the team’s starting lineup.

n0rb3r7 will try to save Virtus.pro

The return of n0rb3r7 comes in a complicated situation for Virtus.pro, as they face MOUZ, another team that has been struggling a lot in the last weeks, in the elimination match of the RMR Europa A for Paris Major.

VP managed a resounding victory against the Portuguese team, SAW, on the tournament’s first day. After that, however, they lost twice in a completely unexpected way, as it was against teams like B8 and Into The Breach, two teams that, in theory, do not have the same level. Similarly, it should be noted that KaiR0N- did not perform badly in these three matches, as it was quite the opposite. The 19-year-old had the second-best Rating of the team, with 1.05.

As for n0rb3r7, it should be noted that the player has been inactive professionally since December when he played with Outsiders in the BLAST Premier World Final. In that tournament, the team had a disappointing performance, considering they were coming from winning the IEM Rio Major 2022. As a result, n0rb3r7 has been benched since then.

While n0rb3r7 continued in the organization, the team no longer used him in an official matches. Furthermore, Petrossian hinted that the lineup changes were for n0rb3r7 to focus on his game and return to the highest competitive level.
