Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 is currently blazing hot. This 8th season, also called “Fortnite Cubed”, comes with new landing spots, new skins, a new dimension, new characters and most excitingly, new mythical weapons.

Mythical weapons are an essential part of Fortnite, and while they make the gameplay fun and interesting, they’re pretty challenging to acquire. Ideally, you have to go through a tedious fight with a non-playable character (NPC) and defeat it before you can snatch its mythical weapon.

All mythical weapons do not have the same level of power and impact on the game. While some can do a great deal of damage, others aren’t as lethal. This article will tell you about the most powerful mythical weapons of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8 and where you can find them.

Sideways Rifle

The sideways rifle is a fully automatic, rapid shooting assault rifle suitable for medium and long-range shooting. Ideally, you will find the Sideways Rifle in chests when you collect loot, and you can also snatch them from monster drops. With its first shot accuracy, the sideways rifle is ideal for longer-ranged engagements even though it doesn’t have a magazine size.

However, these rifles need to be upgraded into a mythical weapon using a bunch of monster parts. With 10 to 50 cube monster parts, you can upgrade the sideways riffle from Common to Uncommon to Rare (15) to Epic (20), Legendary (25) and finally mythic (50).

The sideways rifle is one of the most popular guns in the game. It deals 29 to 38 damage per shot and has very little reload time. One of the most lethal threats of the sideways rifle is that even though you can only shoot 10 bullets before the weapon heats up, the amount of damage it deals multiplies 1.5 times when it’s about to heat up. Hence, there’s enough damage to keep your enemy in pain before your weapon is ready to fire another shot. However, despite all this, the sideways rifle is relatively weak when compared to other mythical weapons.

Sideways Minigun

When compared to sideways riffle, Sideways Minigun has a significantly slower reload time of 4 seconds. That slight delay aside, this weapon is a monster! It has an incredible firing rate that deals up to 168 damage per second and up to 54 bullets before the cooldown system activates. This makes the sideways minigun one of the most excellent havoc wrecking tools in the game. Just like the Sideways Riffle, it does not have a magazine size, and it overheats after being fired for a long time. When the Sideways minigun overheats, the spread of the bullet reduces but the fire rate increases. Furthermore, you can still use monster parts to craft your sideways minigun up to a mythic rarity.

You can find the sideways minigun in the Sideways chest and Sideways Anomaly. And just like the sideways riffle, you need up to 50 cube monster parts to upgrade it from the ordinary level to the Mythic level.

Venom and Carnage Symbiote

Venom and Carnage Symbiote recently crashed into the island, and they’re available for you to pick up and use to strengthen your arsenal. They’re built in the form of wearable mythic weapons. Once you pick them up, you automatically get the mystical ability to glide through and project further into the air than you usually could. When you activate your symbiotes, it shoots out a tendril that grabs the enemies and deals them up to 60 damages at the same time. After wrecking this damage, the symbiote takes a seven-second break to cool down to avoid indiscriminate use.

Venom and Carnage symbiote are randomly spread in different places on the island, and you can only get two per match. Once a player picks up the symbiotes, you have to wait for the next game before you can grab it. Alternatively, you can get the symbiotes by eliminating the person who picked them up.

Due to the scarcity of symbiotes and the difficulty of eliminating the current user, it is pretty tricky to get this mythical weapon. But if you really want to get it, you need to pay attention to when they start spawning during the match.

Venom and Carnage symbiote usually appear after the first storm circle. Look out for a spiderlike symbol that’ll show on the map. As soon as you see the spider symbol on the in-game map, hurry to that location and snag the symbiote.

Where to find Venom and Carnage Symbiote

Venom and Carnage Symbiote are indeed hidden randomly around the map, but there are two fields where they’re usually found, namely:

  • Northwest of Corny Crops
  • Southeast of Boney Burbs

You will find the symbiotes floating in a canister in these fields. Quickly grab them and enjoy the superpower you just acquired.

According to speculations and teasers, Epic may be releasing more mythical weapons as the season unfolds. So keep your eyes glued on this page, as we will be bringing you all the necessary information as we receive the updates.
