As announced earlier this year, the servers for arena fighter Multiversus will be going offline for good today.
Last January, Warner Bros. Games announced that the servers would go offline after the fifth season. That fifth season comes to an end today. The servers are expected to go offline at around 6 p.m. The game will then no longer be available on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
People who have claimed the game will still be able to play it offline in local mode against computer-controlled enemies or three friends. To do so, it is important to have the latest version of the game installed and to log in during the fifth season. This will automatically create a local save file that is linked to your account on PSN, Microsoft Store, Steam, or Epic Games Store. More information can be found in this FAQ.
Multiversus is an arena fighter similar to Super Smash Bros., but with Warner Bros. franchises. The game was popular when it was released in 2022, but shortly thereafter, the number of players declined. The game even went offline for a year and returned in May 2024.
