If you’re into small form factor PCs — and don’t mind splurging a bit of extra cash on the latest and greatest hardware — the Creator P50 from MSI should definitely be at the top of your list of priorities!

Starting out at $1,799, the Creator P50 comes packed with spectacular internals: up to an Intel Core i7-11700 and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU. This kind of set up is, no doubt, wholly sufficient for today’s most popular AAA titles — especially if you can harness NVIDIA’s mind-blowing DLSS, an industry-leading upscaling technology that works so well you’ll think it’s witchcraft.

It might not be the most powerful computer money can buy, but it’ll nonetheless chew through any task (or game) you might throw its way. One could argue that anything more potent hardware-wise would be superfluous as you’d be reaching the point of diminishing returns. Unless, of course, you’re dead set on playing at 4K and want as high a frame count as money can buy.

Last but certainly not least, one quick glance at MSI’s Creator P50 is all you need to realize that it is a showpiece worthy of attention! Those who are partial partial to slick looks and beautiful enclosures will surely get their money’s worth! And, well, that’s worth mentioning as you’re obviously paying extra for the compactness of the whole build. Getting so much power in such a tiny enclosure — from one of the world’s leading OEMs — simply has to come at a cost.

Let’s Talk Specifics

Size-wise, the P50 is 346mm wide, 232mm deep, and 71mm tall which amounts to a meagre 4.7 liters. Calling it petite would be an understatement! Inside you’ll find up to a Core i7 and the aforementioned RTX 3060, both of which are situated on an Intel B560 motherboard with two DDR4 RAM slots, an M.2 (2280 format) solid state drive, and a 2.5″ HDD/SSD bay.

As for connectivity, you’re getting the latest and greatest Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 along with a respectable selection of I/O:

  • 1x USB-C (Thunderbolt 4, PD 15W)
  • 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1
  • 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2
  • 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2
  • 1x Ethernet Port (RJ45) 2.5G

All in all, this is a very potent little PC and it’ll definitely get the job done — assuming you can stomach the higher-than-average MSRP. Then again, it’s not like RTX 3060s go for cheap these days, so it might be worth taking a look at if you’re itching to upgrade your rig and want something nice and small without going through the “hassle” of building it yourself.
