Mobile Legends has been a popular game in the Philippines ever since its initial release. Over the years, the professional scene of this game has seen many Esports Teams that not only became fan favorites, but also dominated the professional league and have made a name for themselves.
Following the regular season, where eight teams tested their might in order to reach another mile in their journey, the Mobile Legend’s professional league began. The MPL PH Season 14 is the gathering grounds for six of the strongest teams in the country, as they will fight for a chance to partake in the prestigious M6 world championship. Here, we look at the MPL PH Season 14 Grand Finals results and who will be our two representatives at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia on November 21 to December 15.
MPL PH Season 14 Playoffs
On October 16 to 20, the MPL PH Season 14 Playoffs took off and made a spectacular display of six of Philippines strongest Esport Team’s abilities and skills. The top 6 teams from the regular season who qualified for the playoffs are:
- Blacklist International
- Falcons AP.Bren
- Fnatic ONIC PH
- Omega Esports
- Aurora Gaming
- Team Liquid PH
The Season 14 playoffs featured a hybrid elimination system where the 1st and 2nd seeded teams got a round bye and they started at round 2 with double elimination, while the 3rd to 6th teams fought in round 1 with single elimination. All of the matches are Bo5 except the lower bracket finals and grand finals that are a Bo7 competition.
The MPL PH Season 14 offered a handsome prize pool of 150,000 USD that would be divided among the six teams.
The Wildfire Matches at The Green Sun Hotel
Being called the six strongest teams of the Philippines, these Esports Teams proved themselves and performed at the highest level—giving us an exciting sight that will surely be remembered in the Philippine’s Mobile Legends community.
Starting on October 16, Omega Esports and Blacklist Internationals initiated the Season 14 playoffs with Blacklist Internationals taking the win with a dominating 3-0 sweep.
In order to balance the heat of the fire, Aurora Gaming and Team Liquid PH brought a blizzard of a match with Aurora turning Team Liquid to ice with a 3-2 win to wrap up the first day.
Day two, October 17, Falcons AP.Bren took over the scene from the once brightest stars, Blacklist International, with a hard fought 3-2 victory.
In a similar fashion where day one’s victors tasted defeat, Aurora Gaming was shut down by Fnatic ONIC PH with a jaw dropping 3-0 streak.
October 18 is where the Upper bracket finals and lower bracket semifinals begin. Falcons AP. Bren fell down the skies as Fnatic ONIC PH maintained their strong victorious stance with a score of 3-1.
The superstars, Blacklist International, fought bravely to regain their place but Aurora drove them off with an ice cold 3-0 performance.
The Lower bracket finals between Falcons AP.Bren and Aurora Gaming was on the fourth day, October 19. Both teams unleashed all their might and when the battlefield’s dust settled, an Aurora lit up the skies with a 4-2 win
The Strongest Between Two Representatives
For the final day of the MPL PH Season 14 on October 20, a very special match between the two teams who fought on a tough battlefield to secure their spots to represent the country at the M6 world stage—engaged in a legendary seven game match to know who is mightier and worthy to attend with the champions crown on their heads.
The two teams showed the fans that they are both ready to compete against the world by fighting in an even yet top tier level gameplay. The war between them became back and forth with both teams exchanging wins after wins.
After the longstanding fight between Aurora Gaming and Fnatic ONIC PH, the MPL PH Season 14 Grandfinals results saw Fnatic ONIC PH emerging to take the glory of being the playoff’s champions.
