MOUZ have won the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 Finals after defeating Spirit 3-1 in the best-of-five Grand Final in Malta.
The European roster took Dust2 and Mirage to build a commanding 2-0 lead. Spirit responded on Ancient, but MOUZ recovered on Nuke and closed the series 13-10 to secure the title.
Lotan “Spinx” Giladi delivered the standout performance of the final. He finished the four maps with 78 kills, only 38 deaths and more than 100 average damage per round, giving Spirit few opportunities to regain control.
MOUZ Take Control on Dust2 and Mirage
Spirit entered the final as the world’s top-ranked team and had already defeated MOUZ repeatedly during 2026. That recent history made MOUZ clear underdogs, but the opening maps quickly challenged those expectations.
Dust2 was Spirit’s pick, yet MOUZ looked more composed across both halves. They built a narrow advantage before the break and maintained control after switching sides, eventually closing the map 13-8.
Mirage was even more decisive. MOUZ limited Spirit to four rounds and finished the map 13-4, placing themselves one victory away from the trophy.
The opening phase of the final was defined by:
- Spinx consistently finding opening kills and multi-frags
- MOUZ converting advantages without giving Spirit easy recoveries
- Spirit struggling to create space around donk
- Strong contributions from torzsi and PR behind the main star
MOUZ did not simply survive Spirit’s pressure; they controlled the pace of the first two maps.
Spinx was especially difficult to contain. His aggressive positioning repeatedly disrupted Spirit’s setups before their rounds could fully develop.
Spirit Fight Back on Ancient
Facing elimination, Spirit finally produced a stronger response on Ancient. The map began evenly, with the teams reaching the second half at 6-6.
MOUZ briefly moved ahead, but Spirit then won seven of the final ten rounds to take the map 13-9. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets became more influential, while Boris “magixx” Vorobiev delivered an important late clutch.
| Map | Spirit | MOUZ |
|---|---|---|
| Dust2 | 8 | 13 |
| Mirage | 4 | 13 |
| Ancient | 13 | 9 |
| Nuke | 10 | 13 |
The Ancient result prevented a sweep and gave Spirit a route back into the series. It also showed that MOUZ could still be punished when their attacking rhythm slowed.
Spirit’s recovery depended on several improvements:
- donk finding more impact in opening fights
- magixx winning a crucial late-round situation
- stronger defensive control after the halftime break
- MOUZ failing to convert multiple promising rounds
However, Spirit could not carry that momentum into Nuke.
Nuke Decides the Championship
Nuke developed into the closest map of the final. MOUZ reached halftime with a 7-5 lead, but Spirit remained within striking distance throughout the second half.
The teams traded rounds as the score moved toward 10-10. Spirit won several low-buy situations and appeared capable of forcing the series to Cache, the fifth and final map.
MOUZ remained calm in the decisive rounds. They regained control late, reached championship point and closed Nuke 13-10 without allowing Spirit another comeback.
The victory was particularly significant because MOUZ had lost several recent series against Spirit. Spirit had beaten them at IEM Kraków, IEM Rio and PGL Astana earlier in the year. This time, MOUZ reversed the matchup on the biggest possible stage of the event.
Spinx Delivers a Grand Final Masterclass
Spinx was the central figure in MOUZ’s victory. Across the final, he recorded 78 kills against 38 deaths and averaged approximately 101 damage per round.
His performance was most dominant on Mirage, where he repeatedly broke open rounds and denied Spirit any chance to build momentum. He also remained effective on Nuke when the pressure was at its highest.
Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás provided reliable AWP support and ended the series with a strong positive kill difference. Oldřich “PR” Nový also contributed important damage and utility work during his first tournament campaign with the new lineup.
Spirit’s stars were unable to match that output. donk finished with a negative kill difference, while sh1ro, zont1x, tN1R and magixx all ended the series below even.
A Major Result for MOUZ’s New Lineup
The title carries additional weight because MOUZ were competing with a changed roster. PR and Adrian “xelex” Vincze entered a lineup that was still developing its roles and communication.
MOUZ had already shown resilience during the event. They defeated 3DMAX in the quarterfinals and survived a close semifinal against Astralis before meeting Spirit.
Winning the tournament immediately gives the new roster credibility. It also provides valuable ranking points and confidence ahead of the next group of Tier 1 events.
Assessment
MOUZ’s 3-1 victory is one of their most convincing results of the 2026 season. They defeated the world’s leading team, overcame a poor recent head-to-head record and controlled most of a long best-of-five final.
Spinx’s performance was exceptional, but the result was not based on one player alone. MOUZ showed stronger trading, better round conversion and greater composure during the key moments on Nuke.
Spirit remain one of the strongest teams in Counter-Strike 2, and one defeat does not erase their wider form. However, the final exposed how vulnerable they can become when donk and sh1ro are contained.
For MOUZ, the title proves that the rebuilt lineup can already compete for major trophies. The next challenge is turning one outstanding tournament into consistent success.
