Most popular picks at VCT 2022 Masters Copenhagen

As usual for big esports events, VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen too saw some weapons, agents, and map picks selected more than others. Among the weapons, Vandal dominated the Masters Copenhagen meta, having twice the pick rate of Phantom.

Moreover, Chamber was the most popular agent in Copenhagen with a pick rate of over 70%. This means that the nerf he received a few weeks ago didn’t affect his pick rate too much. The most popular maps of the event were Fracture and Bind.

Most picked agent: Chamber

A few things stood out at the Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen. Jett is no longer the queen of the competitive meta after changes to her kit, while Chamber has taken her place as the number one VALORANT agent in esports. Unlike Jett, who had a pick rate of over 90% in the past, Chamber isn’t as dominant with a pick rate of 77%, but still is way ahead of other agents. He is a universal agent that works well in most situations.

Raze and Fade are two agents hot on their heels with pick rates of 54% and 52%, respectively. Fade is the newest agent in the game and has made her mark as the initiator. Her ability to gather information while also confusing opponents makes her the most popular initiator at the moment.

Most popular weapon: Vandal

The Phantom vs. Vandal debate might have been resolved for a while because the Vandal had twice the pick rate of its counterpart. The Masters Copenhagen saw Vandal picked 5,863 times, while Phantom was picked only 2,469 times. The community often debates which weapon is better, and it looks like the Vandal is the clear winner here. However, things might not look so one-sided at the VCT Champions.

Last year, the stats were similar in the Masters, but both weapons had an almost identical pick rate in the Champions. It remains to be seen if the Phantom can catch up with Vandal to fuel the debate further.

Favourites among maps

Fracture and Bind are tied for first place in Copenhagen with 13 picks each. Haven and Ascent were also very popular — 11 picks each. Fracture has currently a higher percentage of wins on attack rounds than on defense rounds, as does Haven. Pearl wasn’t part of the competitive meta because it’s not a part of the map pool yet, but we’ll see the new map later this year in the Champions event and it will be undoubtedly exciting to see how players fare on it.
