Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational (MWI) is returning this year with its 2025 edition, and this time, it’s again joining the Esports World Cup. The event, which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is organized together by MOONTON Games and the Esports World Cup Foundation. With changes made to the tournament system and the prize amount increased, the competition looks more serious than ever for women’s esports.
Starting July 15, this tournament marks the second time Mobile Legends is included in the EWC. As per the 2025 esports schedule shared by MOONTON, MWI is now upgraded with a better structure and stronger presence. It’s going to be a big moment for both players and viewers.
MWI 2025 Tournament Format and Schedule
The competition will be played in two major parts. First is the Group Stage, which happens from July 15 to 17. The 16 teams will be arranged into 4 groups with 4 teams each. The format used here will be GSL, and all games during this phase will be best-of-three (BO3). The top two teams from every group will qualify for the next stage.
After group matches are done, the Playoffs begin from July 17 and run till July 19. This section follows a single-elimination format. Quarterfinals will continue with a BO3 setup. Semifinals and the third-place game will move to BO5. The final match of the tournament, the Grand Final, will go even longer as a BO7, making it more intense and demanding for the finalists.
