The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Esports 2023 roadmap has been officially revealed by MOONTON at the M Summit, an esports and gaming industry business summit held alongside the M4 World Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Fans of Mobile Legends esports are in for a treat this year as MOONTON packs over 260 match days of MLBB action into the upcoming 12 months.  The new season will be kicked in February with the MLBB Women’s Invitational, the second iteration of the all-women MLBB event.

After the Invitational, the official MLBB Professional League (MPL) for all the Major regions—Singapore, Malaysia, Brazil, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, and the Middle East—will carry on as usual with two seasons, the first of which is set to run from February to May.

The MLBB Super League LATAM, North America Challenger Tournament, and Turkey National Championships (TNC) are three additional significant professional competitions that MOONTON Games will host between February to May. The SEA Games and MSC 2023 will be held in May and June, respectively. The publisher will host the Snapdragon Pro Series Challenger Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and the World Cyber Games in July.

The MPL and National Leagues for all regions will return in August and run through October followed by The ONE Esports MPL Invitational 2023, which will be held in November. The top teams from the regional league will qualify for the M5 World Championship, which will run from November to December.

M4 World Champion’s record-breaking success hints at another successful season

The 2023 roadmap was unveiled by MOONTON in the wake of the M4 World Championship’s success, which saw record-breaking concurrent viewers, demolishing the event’s previous viewership high.

The upper-bracket semifinal game between Indonesian team RRQ Hoshi and Philippine’s Blacklist International, which was aired in 13 languages, topped its previous viewership record with a peak of 4.26 million concurrent viewers, according to data from Esports Charts.

With these remarkable viewership numbers, the M4 World Championship moved up to third place on the list of esports events with the highest peak viewership, passing the LoL World Championship 2021. Out of the 16 top Mobile Legends teams taking part in the competition, only RRQ Hoshi, ECHO, and Blacklist International are still standing for the world championship title as well as the huge’s chunk of the massive US $800,000 prize pool.

The lower-bracket final between RRQ and ECO today is anticipated to draw more viewers as the match will determine who advances to the best-of-seven grand final match against the Blacklist on January 15.
