This will be the sixth iteration of the MLBB World Championship, where global talents gather in one stage. Carnival Details and Free Entry

A fun event entails the return of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M6 World Championsip in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. MOONTON Games promises to deliver a three-day carnival celebration, delivering a variety of family-friendly activities and booths. This guarantees the enjoyment of not only the fans but the locals as well in this anticipated tournament.

An Orchestra and Torch Ceremony

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M-Series rose as one of the highly anticipated prestigious tournaments, mainly in the Southeast Asian region. Beyond that, the M6 marks the return of the World Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, after their M1 hosting. With this, they prepared together unique and amazing events to create history once again.  

Malaysia presents the Kuala Lumpur Orchestra to perform the opening for the M6 Grand Finals. This will serve as the first for MLBB esports after countless world iterations and regional competitive events. Together with the Kuala Lumpur City Hall and Malaysia Digital Economy, they ensemble this unique collaboration emphasizing cultural significance. 

Yet, even before the tournament begins, Malaysia will hold a special torch ceremony for the M6 World Championship. Through the support of the Malaysian government, the event will take place in Bukit Bintang on November 30, 2024. This includes the participation of Malaysian Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Adam Adli, and other personalities to carry the burning torch.  

Besides them, this torch event also gained attention from Esports Integrated (ESI) and Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB). The endpoint of the event will be in the Lot 10 shopping center, which will set the beginning of the competition. 

The Malay Pride

Among the 23 teams participating in the M6 World Championship, Malaysia holds two of the slots to compete. These teams are the victors of the MPL Malaysia Season 14, held from September 7, 2024, to November 3, 2024. The local fans are looking forward to the performances of the champions of the recent season, Selangor Red Giants. They’ll surely give exciting matches throughout the world tournament as the first back-to-back MPL Champion of Malaysia.

Meanwhile, the second team that got the slot is Team Vamos, who placed behind the Selango Red Giants. They fell short in the finals and are now searching for redemption in the upcoming World stages. Indeed, both of these teams will give pride to Malay for their exceptional MLBB gameplay. 

What’s In For Malaysia

Malaysia continues to expand their commitment to esports development with this involvement in the tournament celebration. They supported the upcoming M6 Championship by allocating MYR 20M for the event. YB Adam Adli, the Deputy Minister, highlighted the annual growth experience of Malaysia’s gaming industry since 2020. Currently, there are over 50% Malays that are actively gaming within their devices. 

Apart from this, MLBB’s viewership grows following the success of the M5 World Championship between Indonesia and the Philippines. The previous tournament held the record-breaking viewership count of over 5 million viewers.
