In a groundbreaking move for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) competitive scene, the Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 has announced the details of its inaugural Wild Card stage. Taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from June 28 to 30 as part of the Esports World Cup, this Wild Card event will see eight teams vying for a coveted spot in the MSC 2024 Group Stage. The MSC 2024, held concurrently in Riyadh, will feature 16 international teams competing on the largest mid-year MLBB stage yet.
The Wild Card stage is set to add a new layer of excitement and competition to the MSC. The eight participating teams will be divided into two groups, each playing a single round-robin best-of-one (BO1) match starting at 11:00 (GMT+3) on June 28 and 29. The top team from each group will advance to Phase 2 on June 30, where they will face off in a best-of-five (BO5) match at 13:00 (GMT+3) and 18:00 (GMT+8). The winner will secure the final slot in the MSC 2024 Group Stage, while the remaining teams will be eliminated.

In the Group Stage, the world’s top 16 teams, including the Wild Card winner, will be divided into four groups (A, B, C, and D). From July 3 to 7, each group will play a single round-robin BO2 match. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Knockout Stage, while the bottom two will be eliminated. The Knockout Stage matches will follow a BO5 format, leading up to the Grand Finals, which will be a BO7 on July 14.
