The Project NEXT 2025 update for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang was released on the Original Server on September 17, 2025. Similar to previous yearly updates, this one includes hero revamps, a new map, a new hero Obsidia, and one of the main changes for the year, a new Achievement System.
What’s New in the Achievement System
This is not just a little change, with the whole Achievement System being revamped. The goal of these changes is to increase player engagement and competition. Here are the main aspects:
Season Achievements & Highlight Tasks

- Players now have seasonal highlight Missions based on their role. Completing seasonal highlight Missions will earn players tangible rewards like badges, Style Plates, Painted Skins, and Season Achievement Style with effects. Once players unlock those Season Achievement Styles, they are reset to be unlocked once again the next season; therefore, players are required to continue to play to unlock those styles again each season.
Career Achievements & Global Completion Rates

- Career Achievements exist for the long-term and are not associated with seasonal resets. Career Achievements will show the global completion rate as a display case in which players will want to see how rare or common each career achievement is compared to everyone else.
Honor Wall / Show off your achievements

- We’ve added a new feature that allows players to directly show off their top achievements on their profile. This is a configurable feature, if the players desire, other players can easily see the popularity of players profile by seeing the achievements.
Styling & Rewards
- Players now have more than medals for achievements. Players earn Painted Skins, Style plates or visual effects along with achievements. We will also have highlight notifications upon completion of highlighted tasks.
Competitive Leaderboards

- We will have new global and local leaderboards to show achievements. This will add more competition besides the ranked mode with a chance for players to compete for achievement records.
Impact and Other Improvements
The new system changes how achievements work. Seasonal resets give players new goals often. Global rarity stats highlight which achievements are difficult and not many players have. The Wall of Honor gives more identity to profiles. Leaderboards push competition outside of ranked matches. Rewards like Painted Skins make achievements carry more value.
Along with the achievement update, Moonton also made several control and user experience changes:
- Better controls and responsiveness during matches.
- Clearer red-flash feedback when targets are damaged.
- Improved crowd-control visuals like stun or silence.
- Faster access to control settings.
- Special name colors for World Collectors.
- Refined projectile indicators and layering for cleaner matches
Project NEXT 2025 integrates achievements as part of Mobile Legends. Achievements are not just side events; they are now part of the core progression. Players can now grind Painted Skins, see their progress on Wall of Honor, and attempt to rank on the leaderboard. Now every milestone gives more motivation to play and monitor progress.
