Moonton Games is once again ready to expand Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s roster with Obsidia, the upcoming 130th hero. Currently being tested in the Advanced Server, Obsidia brings in a totally new kind of Marksman experience as the first hero from the Abyss faction to take this role. Her design, mechanics, and lore link her to other abyssal characters like Thamuz, Alice, and Selena, although her full backstory is still not clear yet.

Mobile Legends Bang Bang Abyss Origin and Role

Titled Sovereign of Dark’s End, Obsidia comes from a cursed land called Dark’s End, where she fights to defend her people from outside threats. Her appearance matches her origins—dark, gothic, and bone-themed. While her release is yet to be confirmed for the Original Server, players are already experimenting with her skills and combos on the Advanced Server.

Passive and Gameplay Concept

At the core of her gameplay is a unique passive, Return to the Bone. When attacking enemies—heroes or non-hero units, but not creeps—she collects bone fragments. Every 5 turns, into a Bone Shard. These shards fly at enemies automatically when she hits them, dealing extra damage. Bone Shards can enhance her other skills as well, but if she has more than one shard, her ultimate becomes unstable. If she dies, she’ll lose 10 shards.

Obsidia’s Skills

  • First Skill: Bone Needle
This skill fires a projectile at one enemy. If it hits, her passive triggers. When she has five Bone Shards, it becomes Abyssal Bone Needle, which pierces enemies in a line. The cooldown stays constant at 5 seconds, with increasing damage across levels.
  • Second Skill: Shadowmeld
Shadowmeld gives her 100% movement speed for 0.3s. But if she attacks or uses a skill, the effect ends. After reaching 12 Bone Shards, it becomes untargetable for a short duration. It’s useful for repositioning or escaping tight fights. The cooldown shortens over levels.
  • Ultimate: Wrath of Bone
Her ultimate, Wrath of Bone, blasts nearby enemies and gives her temporary Bone Shards for each one hit. At 20 shards, it upgrades to give two shards per hero and increases shard speed. It also temporarily lifts the max shard limit.

Obsidia’s kit makes her strong in teamfights and good at wave clear. Her buffs and enhanced skills give her mobility, damage, and short immunity. But she might struggle against burst assassins or heavy CC. As of now, there’s no confirmed date for her release to the main server. More info is expected after the test phase ends.
