Minana EVOS has announced its withdrawal from the MPL Philippines, releasing its entire roster. The decision was made in collaboration with EVOS, aiming to refocus future efforts separately.

Joint decision to exit

“Minana and EVOS have made the difficult decision together that we will no longer participate in the MPL, resulting in the release of the current roster. While we are both proud of what the team has achieved during our time together, we feel it’s best to focus our future efforts separately,” the organization stated.

Minana EVOS entered the MPL in Season 12 through a partnership with Nexplay EVOS. After Nexplay EVOS exited, Minana continued the partnership with the Indonesian organization.

“EVOS has decided to end its collaboration with Minana in the MLBB MPL Philippines scene. This decision was made because EVOS is currently focusing on the esports scene in Indonesia,” EVOS said in its own statement.

They added, “EVOS extends its highest appreciation and thanks to all members of Minana EVOS for their hard work. Moving forward, we hope that EVOS and Minana can continue to strengthen the esports scene in their respective regions, both in Indonesia and the Philippines. Best of luck, Minana, and see you around!”

Continued commitment to the PH Gaming Community

“From a Minana perspective, while we won’t be participating in the MPL next season we remain dedicated to the gaming community in the Philippines and will continue to invest in other initiatives that we feel will positively contribute to the community. We look forward to sharing more with you all soon,” Minana EVOS added.

Impact on MPL Philippines

Minana EVOS became a breakout team in MPL Philippines Season 13, comprising young talents that led them to their first MPL playoffs slot in what turned out to be their final season.

Minana’s exit leaves only seven franchise teams in the MPL as of now, with no official announcement yet on who will take Minana’s vacated slot. The current teams include reigning champions Liquid ECHO (soon to be Team Liquid PH), Falcons AP Bren, Smart Omega, RSG Philippines, Blacklist International, TNC Pro Team, and FNATIC Onic Philippines.
