Following the benching of Adriano “WOOD7” Cerato, the organization confirmed the promotion of Breno “brnz4n” Poletto from the MIBR Academy squad.

Initially reported by Brazilian esports portal Dust2.br, the move comes just days after MIBR’s early exit from the PGL Major Antwerp. Sources told Dust2.br that brnz4n is already headed to Germany, where MIBR are training ahead of the Pinnacle Cup and ESL Pro League Conference.

Following the Dust2.br report, MIBR Head Coach Bruno “bit” Lima confirmed the roster change, stating that brnz4n would take over the AWP role vacated by WOOD7, while Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes would be the new in-game leader.

Brnz4n has been with the org since they launched their academy team in August 2021. He has proven his mettle with a few stand-in performances for the main team, including IEM Katowice and BLAST Premier Spring Groups earlier in February. His rating in the past three months hit 1.25 and he will now have the opportunity to truly show his abilities.

MIBR are next in action at the Pinnacle Cup Championship, an eight-team tournament set to begin on June 8 in Lund, Sweden.
