According to reports this week, former FPX and G2 VALORANT players Johan “Meddo” Lundborg and David “Davidp” Prins are set to join the Vodafone Giants Gaming team. Following a leaked image from Daniil “pipsoN” Meshcheryakov’s recent steam, it would appear that the duo could be announced by the team shortly.

OrglessV, the well-known Esports talent agency, is currently searching for new teams for the likes of pipsoN, Vinvent “Happy” Cervoni, Ricardas “Boo” Lukasevicius and Aaro “hoody” Peltokangas. As a result, a new roster could well be in the making, featuring both Meddo and Davidp.

Why Meddo is On the Hunt for a New Team

Meddo has not featured since representing FPX during the First Strike Europe event, where he finished 3rd/4th alongside his teammates, following a semi-final defeat against SUMN FC. Meddo and FPX surprisingly went their separate ways, especially given his performances with G2 Esports, where he won all seven Ignition Series competitions in Europe.

The current Giants Gaming roster comprises of Adolfo “Fit1nho” Galleg, Salvador “Yurii” Gasco, Francesc “donQ” Savall, Jon “jonba” Baraiazarra and Miguel “eXerZ” Marin, however it appears that the organization could well move on from such players.

How the Latest Rumours Surrounding Giants Gaming Started

A leaked Discord conversation between David “Lozark” Alonso, Giants Head of Gaming, and pipsoN made it clear that they were considering adding Meddo to their roster, with Davidp having also been mentioned. PipsoN’s text messages with Meddo have also been revealed, with Prodigy Agency CEO Jerome Coupez having undoubtedly played his part too, along with a representative from Team Vitality.

Vitality have yet to announce their Valorant entrant, despite hosting the Vitality European Open back in July. It is thought that the team will soon enter the competitive VALORANT scene. The VALORANT Champions Tour Circuit is set to start in 2021, with the Vodafone Giants roster potentially being made up by pipsoN, Happy, Boo, Davidp and Meddo.
