Marvel Rivals Patch 20250828 Brings Chrono-Storm Event, New Bundles and Fixes

The newest patch for Marvel Rivals is out now, and it is bringing a mix of content, changes, and problem-solving. The update, marked as version 20250828, was released at 9:00 AM UTC today, on 27th Aug, and what’s good is there is no downtime at all. Players just need to update the client, and they can get back into matches right away.

Marvel Rivals Chrono-Storm Event

The main highlight in this update is a limited-time event called Chrono-Storm. While it lasts, players can complete Weekly, Challenge, and Season Missions to collect double Chrono Tokens. If enough missions are done, you could claim up to 2,000 bonus Chrono Tokens before the event closes.

This event also brings the idea of Chronovium power, which makes the grind move faster. Anyone who participates regularly should be able to reach better rewards within this time.

New Scarlet Witch Skin & Bundle

Besides the event, the in-game store is also adding two new Scarlet Witch themed bundles.

These will not be in the shop until August 29, 2025, at 2:00 AM (UTC), so players need to wait a little before picking them up.

Fixes and Adjustments

This patch comes with plenty of fixes that cover general gameplay, maps, and even heroes.

General Problems

Fixed where the “Hold to Skip” button sometimes did not work after battles during update sessions.
Solved an issue where costume change was blocked in Warm-up Doom Matches.
Adjusted the filter so the Presidential Attire Loki costume can be shared without error.
Corrected the surrender bug that made a match not end properly if done during the preparation phase.

Map and Mode Changes

On Throne of Knull, Symbiote shifts sometimes made characters stuck in strange terrain. That no longer happens after this patch.

Hero Changes

Adam Warlock: His Cosmic Comeback had a flaw where revived teammates lost their extra health if Adam was defeated. Now they keep the bonus even if he is down.
Blade: With Bloodline Awakening, he couldn’t receive Healing Over Time from Rocket Raccoon or Luna Snow. That was not intended, so now Blade gains healing properly from both tech and magic allies.

Unlike many online games, this patch did not require any server downtime, so everything rolled out smoothly. Players can instantly join the Chrono-Storm event, check out the new store bundles, and enjoy the stability fixes. Overall, update 20250828 is not the biggest one, but it refines many systems and prepares the game as September starts.
