Marvel Rivals: Blade’s Anti-Heal vs Luna’s Healing

Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 pits Blade against Luna Snow in another showdown. These well-known characters will be a good matchup for the mid-season update with the addition of new voice lines, synergy changes and a couple metaverse upgrades. It’s lifesteal vs healing, shadow vs ice.

Blade Enters the Arena: Anti-Heal Meets Style

We will have Blade as part of the Marvel Rivals cast on August 8th, 2025. He is the first Duelist to bring in anti-heal a way to counter characters like Luna who rely on support healing. His Blood Liberation ability will stop healing and grant lifesteal.

As part of Blade’s kit he will have a dash attack, block ability, and a vampiric ultimate that will slice enemies in an arc. NetEase also added some flair. When Blade defeats Luna, he says: “Somebody always trynna ice skate up hill.” That’s a line from the Blade movies. His “slaylist” even has Luna’s music, which hints maybe he doesn’t fully hate her.

Synergy Shake-Up: From Atlas Bond to Lunar Force

Season 3.5 changes some team pairings. Luna’s old bond with Iron Fist is out. Now she gets news about Synergy, Duality Dance, with Adam Warlock. It turns damage into healing bursts. Blade gets added into the Lunar Force synergy, which used to be just Moon Knight and Cloak & Dagger. That gives him invisibility, a shadow dome, and some healing good for surviving against Luna’s ice.

Meta Counterplay: Blood vs. Ice

Blade and Luna are locked in a strategy battle. Luna’s ultimate, Fate of Both Worlds, heals her team up to 250 hps and boosts their damage. Blade’s ult works against that, cutting healing and stealing health. That makes him a strong counter-pick.

Blade users need to use Blood Liberation after Luna’s freeze, and Luna mains have to time their freezes and shields to block his dash or lifesteal. With Adam Warlock helping, Luna can push back against Blade’s ambushes.

NetEase added some stuff for fans. Blade’s “low taper” emote with Jeff is in, and the blood rave music from the movies is back. Streamers got early access to show off Blade’s moves, events, and skins. Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 isn’t just an update. It’s a face-off between two ways of playing healing and anti-healing. The Blade-Luna rivalry brings voice lines, synergy shifts, and new meta tricks. This fight is likely to shape the game for a while.
