Marvel Rivals FPS Numbers on RTX 50-Series GPUs: Best GPUs, DLSS 4 Frame Generation, More

When we talk about the Nvidia RTX 50-series GPUs, it’s obvious they’re pushing some serious numbers, but things not always go as straight as we expect. In Marvel Rivals, this becomes especially true, thanks to DLSS 4 and this new thing called Multi-Frame Generation (or MFG), the frames-per-second can go up very high but it kind of depends.

DLSS 4, to explain roughly, makes the GPU generate extra frames with AI, so you’re getting like 3 or even 4 times more FPS than normal. With Nvidia Reflex also included, the game doesn’t feel delayed even when the numbers seem unnatural. But these things don’t come without trade-offs.

Real FPS Numbers for Marvel Rivals on 50-Series

RTX 5070 Ti (Laptop): 300-320 FPS

Using an Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop, Marvel Rivals actually reached around 300 to 320 FPS at 1080p Ultra settings. It’s only when the charger is plugged in though, otherwise it drops sharply to like 120 FPS or so. That’s a big gap honestly.

RTX 5070 Ti (Desktop): Close to 290 FPS

Nvidia themselves said it should be around 290 FPS on a desktop build, and seems fair enough based on scaling. Though the actual public benchmarks is limited so far.

RTX 5080 (Laptop): Reaching 330 FPS

With DLSS 4 active, Nvidia claimed this one gives around 330 FPS. It’s not been widely tested yet, but that’s what we have for now.

RTX 5090 (Desktop): Over 440 to 630 FPS

So far, the best of them all. The RTX 5090 can hit 440 FPS and even more, especially in 4K DLSS mode. On lower resolutions, it may even go as far as 600-630 FPS, though it’s still not clear how consistent those figures are in all conditions.

RTX 5070 (Desktop): Possibly 150-200 FPS

There’s not many numbers for Marvel Rivals on this GPU, but if we go by performance step-down logic, then maybe something between 150 and 200 FPS seems possible.

RTX 5060 / 5060 Ti: 100-130 FPS

According to some video reviews and TikTok clips (yes, surprisingly useful sometimes), the 5060 Ti hits about 120 FPS on 1440p Ultra settings. The regular 5060 stays just above 100 FPS, with DLSS and Frame Gen doing most of the heavy lifting.

Not All Perfect: Visuals, Input and Some Tradeoffs

marvel rivals gameplay DLSS 4 is cool and all, but at its extreme levels, you might see weird ghosting or blur in fast moves. Some players may not even notice, but once you do, you can’t unsee it. Nvidia Reflex helps with reducing the lag, though we don’t know how much latency really hides behind the extra frames being created out of thin air. People playing casually might not care, but those who take multiplayer very seriously could maybe notice something feeling “off” even when FPS is too good to be true

Factors Affecting FPS: Power & Thermal Limits

  1. Desktop vs Laptop – In laptops, the GPU is often held back by heat or low wattage. Some laptops with 5080 perform better than thinner laptops with 5090. Strange but true.
  2. Battery Mode – Plug out the charger and watch FPS crash by half or more.
  3. Settings – All these results are based on Ultra presets at 1080p and DLSS 4 maxed. Changing that changes the story.
  4. Early GPU Issues – Some first versions of 50-series GPUs had small hardware problems, like ROP units not working fully. Nvidia said it’s rare and now mostly fixed.

Final Advice

  • If you’re aiming for above 240 Hz monitors, you better look at RTX 5070 Ti or up, especially with proper laptop cooling.
  • 5080 and 5090 should be considered only if you’re chasing benchmarks or future-proofing.
  • 5060 and 5060 Ti are fine for regular players, offering smooth play with decent visual settings.
  • Use DLSS 4 or you’re not getting the true performance of these cards.

Marvel Rivals runs extremely well on the RTX 50-series lineup when you enable all the AI tools. The numbers speak:

  • 5090 leads with over 600 FPS in some scenarios.
  • 5080 and 5070 Ti offer 300+ FPS, more than enough for any competitive match.
  • Lower models like 5060 Ti can still deliver a reliable 120 FPS experience.

As always, don’t just buy for the raw numbers-look at how your machine handles cooling, power, and display. And remember, high FPS doesn’t always mean better gameplay if visuals start to break down.
