A new update for Marvel Rivals has been launched by NetEase and Marvel Games, allowing players to use a voice changer to change their in-game voice in real time. One of the filters players can choose is “Symbiote,” which mimics Venom’s specific, deep and distorted quality. The feature is intended to immerse and entertain players while speaking during matches.

The voice changer offers five preset filters: Masculine, Feminine, Pumpkin Monster, Symbiote, and Alien, which alter a player’s voice differently. The Symbiote filter is unique for players who want to relay a menacing mode of Venom’s character style during team chats or role-playing. Players can initiate the feature from the in-game Voice Chat menu located beneath the Microphone Test option.

Improving Team Communication and Player Experience
This feature is a first for Marvel Rivals, adding a voice modulator tool to the game without any software runtime. It gives players another way to shape their identity while keeping communication clear with their teammates. The voice modulator could also enhance the fun during matches if players wish to talk with a different tone or character, depending on their mood or strategy
Some players have begun testing the new function, and the first reports indicate high levels of creativity. The Symbiote filter gives players a good look at the Venom voice from comics and movies, and is what most players are drawn to the most. The patch notes don’t include details of the technology used for the voice generator or preserving your voice, but the given responses don’t note any hiccups with the voice modulator itself.
