The island nation of Malta is set to host the first European Studio Finals of the Champion of Champions Tour! Today, the event’s organizer GRID has announced a partnership with the non-profit organization GamingMalta for the CCT’s Central Europe division, which will bring the competition to Malta.

The $100,000 LAN tournament scheduled to take place in February 2023 marks the first European Studio Finals of the Champion of Champions Tour CS:GO circuit.

At a later date, 10 additional Studio Finals will be held in other regions of Europe and America, all culminating in a $500,000 Global Final.

After completing the four Online Series, the CCT Central Europe Studio Finals will feature the top three teams that have secured their spot via regional rankings. Joining these three teams are a handful of teams who will receive direct invites.

The first two online series have already concluded with MIBR and forZe each claiming a win and 150 CCT points. The playoffs for the third online event will run from November 15-18, with the fourth and final competition starting with an open qualifier on November 26.

Malta — the perfect place for finals

“We are looking forward to having CCT in Malta and are happy to continue facilitating esports initiatives of this calibre. This partnership is a great opportunity for both GamingMalta and CCT to expand the esports ecosystem, further connecting this global online Tour through a unified LAN environment. We strive to continuously develop Malta as a centre of excellence in esports, and feel that this collaboration will produce an impressive event.”

Fabian Logemann, Head of Tournaments at GRID, also commented:

“Malta has developed into a prime destination for esports and gaming, in large part thanks to GamingMalta’s strategic efforts in the space. That’s why we believe Malta and this partnership to be the perfect fit for a CCT Studio Final. We could not be more excited to join forces and bring CS:GO excellence to players and fans alike.”
