M6 World Championship UPDATE: Team Swiss Stage Format

fragster Stalingrad 27. November 2024

Fast-paced, unpredictable, and intense. For the first time in the M Series history, Moonton Games has brought the exciting Swiss format to this global esports event. The M6 Swiss Stage, from November 28 to December 5, 2024, will feature 16 teams around the world in five rounds of action to get to the Knockouts.

Swiss Stage Format at the M6 World Championship

The M6 World Championship is the sixth iteration of the M Series, the final event of the season and the pinnacle of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports. Aside from Moonton spicing up the series with the Swiss Stage, they have also increased the prize pool this year from $900,000 to $1,000,000 USD. It’s safe to say we’re in for a very thrilling S34 finale with these changes.

In the Swiss Stage, 15 pre-qualified teams plus the 4-day Wildcard Stage winner will battle it out across five rounds. The teams will be matched up against those with similar match records. The goal of each team would be to score three wins to advance to the Knockouts, as three losses would mean elimination.

The first rounds of the M6 Swiss Stage would be quick best-of-ones. In the later rounds, teams will have to prove more in deciding best-of-threes. In the end, only 8 teams will advance to the Knockouts, where a double elimination bracket would serve as their path to gold and glory.
