Lux & Umbra has a base attack of 587 at level 90, combined with a secondary stat of 48.6% Critical Damage. Having a combination of solid attack damage and Critical Damage gives more stability to players looking for higher burst potential. The Lux & Umbra lends itself as a reliable weapon in combat situations no matter what the combat situation is, especially for weapons focused on timed or burst hits versus repeats of smaller damage attacks.
Passive Abilities
The weapon’s passive ability initially increases Attack by 12% (which is indicative of Level 1, 2, or 3) and can reach 24% at max syntonization (R5). The unique part about Lux & Umbra is that its passive ability is dual trigger condition, using a Echo Skill Weapon gives a buff to Heavy Attack Damage for 6 seconds, using a Heavy Attack modifies the Echo Skill Damage by the same amount (24%-48%). When you fully upgrade the weapon, instead of flat 24% buff it scales up to 48%.
When both buffs are active, the weapon will let the player completely ignore part of the enemy Defense. Starting at 8%, with R5 unlocked, this Defense Ignore goes up to 16%, allowing for significantly higher damage against tougher opponents. This occurs because the weapon encourages you to use echo skills and heavy attacks to keep both buffs active while significantly causing damage.
